Title: Mistaking chakras with storage?
Post by: Rastus on September 03, 2004, 07:12:15
Short version:  Chakra's are energy convertors, and storage is storage.

Have you ever seen the guy that spins plates on a stick?  By the time he gets to the 5th plate he has to run back and speed up the 1st plate.  Chakra's are like that.  You have to keep all seven going at once and this requires shifting concious attention until your comfortable (then you can do it subconciously).  With practice you can feel them.

Storage feels different.  You can do some body awareness and 'feel' your storage sites with a little practice.

I hit my chakras by accident sometimes.  So far, I've been okay.  I  imagine it's because I don't draw into them directly for prolonged periods of time and when I get unwanted activity I stop.  You have to put more than an accidental amount to do any damage, I think.

I've found that the storage center has sort of a tiny inward sucking feeling, when the chakras pulse instead.  Also, after I've  brought a couple of draws of energy into the sub-navel storage center I start getting the fluttery energy butterflys Robert Bruce mentions in Astral Dynamics.

Hope that helps.  Missing the sub-navel can be annoying.

I notice that the three primary energy storage centers are almost directly inline with three of the primary chakra center. How can you properly distinguish between them? I.e. how do I know when I'm putting energy in the storage as opposed to stimulating a chakra? And what if I'm working on chakra stimulation from the base upward, how will I know that I'm not accidently pouring energy prematurely into a higher storage center? Are the sensations of storage distinct from chakra activation? Is it possible to be aware of both of them at the same time and use them accordingly? ex. stimulating the full energy body (circuits and secondary centers) then starting on the base chakra and moving up(also how can we correctly distinguish between base chakra operation without causing premature kundalini(if possible)) to the spleen chakra, the solar plexus, the heart, etc, and once these are fully balanced then in a sort of pyramid scheme use the chakras to raise energy into the storage areas. I'm trying to figure out how to know that I know what I'm doing when it comes to chakra versus storage. what are the differences between storage and chakra?
