i dont control my ki its just to wild to control like i try making a ki ball out of ki in my hand and i feel that the energy is in my legs but thats y i use psi it is very controlable to use o what is a spirt mine???
[8] A spirit mine is when you send a highly focused ball of chi, or psi energy into a target and then suddenly unfocus it so the energy goes all over the place like and explosion.
i noticed this as well, neoaikon. when i'm listening to music (or music that i enjoy listening to) my energy does seem more controllable and powerful. Do you think it varies with different types of music, though?
thats the same here.... (linkin park- points of authority .. thats what i listen) and my Ki ball becomes faster and more stronger then normal.
Music certainly affects our energy body.
Energy Body is affected by our emotions and our emotions are affected by music. So indirectly our energy body can be affected by music.
There was a very great classical singer some centuries ago in India named Tansen.He was the official singer of some King (ahh... I forgot the King's name). It is said that his music was so powerful(Not in volume, but in energy and peace) that he could move Rocks and control the weather with his music.

=) Music does inspire me alot but i listen to stuipd old soft music HEHE, but i belive it help us becuase it relaxes ourself into a stat where we dont worry about other things and we arnt really focusing on making the energy since it just comes to use, Where not forcing it it like where asking for it and where in our clamest stat and we can handle more energy, since we are very relaxed
i think that if you know the lyrics and sing along in your head you occupy your surface mind enough so that you can concentrate on whatever you're doing.

You asked about music and chi. The concept you may have heard of should, more correctly be SOUND and chi. Yes, sound, correctly used can release more energy to ones use. The principle was last written about, to my feeble memory, by Edward Maryon a researcher in the late 1800's or early 1900's.
The fundamental principle is this: Start with a note. Let's say middle "c". Intone this note correctly. The sound waves will radiate out like ripples on a pond. With corect vision opened up through correct training, you would even see "ripples" in space moving away from you in a circle. The frequency of these waves moving away from you is a geometric expansion. In other words the frequency doubles constantly. If you drew this geometric expansion it would look like a nautilus shell cross section. Aristotle drew this first, I believe. Or Plato. I'm fuzzy on that.
Now...the entire universe is energy. From the lowest possible frequency to the highest it is all energy. As the sound moves away in it's geometric progression, it's frequency is doubling continously, so the energy will move upward into higher and higher
areas. At a certain frequency the energy will have moved into the realm of what we call visible light spectrum. So if you were standing there and could see, you'd see that the original note "C" is now appearing as a certain color. Every note on the scale, when it's energy arrived here would be visible as a color.
So the esoteric schools, east and west, instituted what they could of a training of this.
You would intone A-U-M (pos, neutral, neg) at a certain note. At the same time you would mentally hold in the mind a pure color. The correct color for that note. As the sound waves moved upward in their rapid expansion in frequency, IF the note was as pure as possible, and IF the color held in mind was the purest possible, then all the frequencies in between would be to some degree purified. Energy which had been blocked up would be released into the system for use.
My only advice is this. This is powerful training used right...and powerful training if used wrong. Take the time to do the math. NONE of the books that discuss this method are correct. Do the math yourself. See for yourself what note corresponds to what color.
THEN if you want to try it, get a tuner. I use a tuner that is quite accurate. I can sing a note into it and the needle moves on or off center depending on if I'm above or below correct pitch. For colors, research where you can find the most exact and pure replicas of each color in the spectrum. An art company used to have fairly good oils like this. Paint a card so you can look at it and then close your eyes and DUPLICATE the color. When you can do this give it a try. I'd suggest several months on this work.
A warning. If you are in an eastern school DO NOT work with Tattvas in this work. A person I knew thought he was smarter than our teacher and did. I saw him years later and his mind is still screwed up badly. These are real forces so use them correctly.

No. Singing is singing. Using sound and Light to free up energy is quite a different thing.

(i dont like to read much unless it intrigues me in the first paragraph.)Well anyhow yea i hear lots of people use music and it effects ur energy flow, but i read from several sources as long as ive known about this stuf that its a bad habit to listen to music when meditating even tho it can help. i dunno believe what u want im gonna try to meditate with music tonite, Listen to some STAIND while meditatin i will! yea
Radha, if you know about Tansen then can you tell whether Tansen also abided by the principles you enlightened us about?
I think music effects our focus, and there for might be a valuable tool when trying to increase your energy. I've noticed that I can move my energy much better and faster if I have some music playing while i'm meditation. Any comments?
