Purple ball?

Newbie here with a question...

This morning I awoke early to meditate. After 45 minutes of meditation I decided to return to bed. As I was lying in bed, I noticed a purple ball which began to materialize in front of me (eyes closed). As I gazed upon the ball and wondered about it, I began to feel vibrations and thought maybe this was a pre-cursor to an OBE. As it turned out, the purple ball faded as well as the vibrations but I did fell a sense of well being afterward.

Later on today I looked up the chakras and noticed the color purple is the crown chakra. Is there a link between the crown chakra and OBE's?

The present moment, thanks for the link. It explains everything! During my experience I noticed a surge of energy but was not aware of a yellow chakra. What I felt was more like an extreme case of goose bumps! lol.

BTW, I have been meditating in the mornings so I can get power over addictions and also for healing of my body. So far it seems to be paying off. I guess an occasional OBE is just a side benefit.

This stuff is all pretty new to me but seems natural and almost like a gift from God! It is my interpretation that it helps us draw closer to him in a spiritual sense.
