i had the same problem when i first started doing new.  even after a month or so of contious effort i was still having problems getting my energy to move around the way i wanted it to.  certain parts of my body felt as if they were completely blocked while others may have been over sensitive.

moving your awareness around doesn't necessarily mean raising energy to those spots.  i've found that if you move you are successful in moving your awareness around the energy will usually follow.

easy enough should be lying down and feeling your whole body, one part at a time.  no matter how long this takes you it's an important part.  in the beginning stages i would sit for half an hour or so very slowly inching my way across my body w/ my awareness.  after you've definetly covered your whole body and have a good feel for it you can start to move a little faster.  this is where i started to run into problems.  i couldn't move very fast at all.

if you have to start by highlighting that's fine.  highlight the souls of your feet and start there since they may are one of the most sensitive parts of your body.  after you've got a good feel for where they are while you are lying down, try and determine the very edge or the part of your body that you are feeling w/ your awareness.  for example, if you are feeling only the souls of your feet where you highlighted, try and feel the slightest bit past the edge of that point of awareness.  the bottom of your feet are connected to the side of your feet, which are connected to the top of your feet and so on.  try and feel where your awareness connects to the next body part.  

when you have the hang of moving your awareness around slowly, speed it up past the point of you being able to feel each part comfortably.  faster still to the point where parts start to feel like they are getting skipped.  eventually your feeling will start to catch up to your movement along w/ some pretty decent energy sensations.  after going too fast for yourself, slowing down should prove to be very effective.  i'd say after about five  minutes of trying to move your awareness around your body at the rate of two to three full body sweeps per second that slowing down to about one sweep per five seconds should produce some very good results.  in ad, robert wrote that your energy body is capable of lightning quick movements.  though i've never felt anything quite that fast, i've been able to get some very good motion.  

i've had some very good results imagining a spray bottle w/ a constant spray coming out of it being used on my body.  it helps to think about cold water.  the feeling of a mist covering my body was a good piece of tactile imaging.

I've been reading Astral Dynamics and doing tactile imaging to raise energy. I haven't been able to get my awareness to move around my body without highlighting. Any tips? How long does it usually take?
