Albert,

Yes, go forward, you're obviously attracted to excellent info, same sources I was attracted to and in the same order.  I have found techniques in AP to be very powerful, give your self some time before messing with chakras.  Keep going, I remember what RB once said that really helps in the down times, loosely translated - "don't stop it keeps getting better".

thanks doghed,
for a while I was begining to think I posted on the wrong forum with all this 'Ki' and 'DZB', and I don't see how these topics even relate to energy development of the Astral Dynamics book.
I guess I'm on my own with this one.

Just watch Adrian, Frank, Jilola, PeacefulWarrior, Kakkarot, and Cainam Naizier. They have been around a while and have said a lot of good things. Especially Jilola, who has been the most helpful for me of everyone here.

Although I am quite new here aswell, i still have tried helping out people with the information i've gathered through various sources, and with the use of my brain and common sense.

This suggestion is more based on your energy/chakra work... When your useing the NEW system that Robert Bruce has created.. Your slowly getting used to and increasing your energy tolerance and strength. if you keep on working on your energy, you'll be able to handle the chakras more. And something that I think may have not been stressed enough, inside Astral Dynamics, was the use and development of the Tertiary chakras, in the hands, feet, mouth, and other parts of the body.... the more you work on those, gradually working your way up to the secondary chakras, you will be able to help, focus energy more to different parts of the body more easily... it'll help with sensing, and feeling energy.. and you'll be able to more safetly and confidently work with chakras again, eliminating your fear of the chakras, at the moment.... but all it all, good luck, and have fun with what you learn, and do.
If someone has the knowledge, and wants to do something, how far do you think they can go, if they lack the experience, and are unable to sustain the amount of effort needed to succeed?  ~ Self 2/25/2003

but you'd better watch out of tom too, he's an old wise one ;) . well, maybe not old. hehe.

Tom:[/] Thanks, the check's in th email [:D]

Albert: I do the Awareness Hands on occasion but not specifically for energy work. I've found that it helps quiet my mind when I otherwise can't. It's a bit like counting or follow your breath but since it nisnät as static it's easier to get into the groove. Then forget the hands and just settle and do whatever practise. Makes a big difference.
Also I've found relief to the restless feet I occasionally get after a stressfull day.

As for working with the chakras I can't really say anything specific. Just remember that they are an integral part of you but of everything else as well. So when doing work relating to them it seems to me that a still mimnd and a clear sense of being a part of the universe isntead of being separate from it would help. Many unpleasant experiences in energy work and other stuff that goes on in these forums is imho due to a conflict between the individual's perception of himself and the reeality if the individual being in himself the totality of the universe. Think of the parable about the blind man and the elephant and remember that while all of the descriptions were valid from each individual point of view they all still described a facet of the elephant.

..And I'll shut up here before I turn into a self-proclaimed guru and chanrge you money and certain services.. [:D][8D]

I'll put off NEW for summer free time but will continue trance work as I understand it is very useful in working with chakras especially while energy body is expanded. I realized the weak effect visualization has on chakras so I can put off my fear of that incident as simply without cause, as doctors told me.

Interesting you point out tertiary centers. I just found that 90-day 'program' and I guess it is something nice to glance at when I'll have more time. NEW still sounds very effective, alongside other energy work, like Mr. Bruice suggested. I'm looking to start some form of martial art but kind of hard to find something straight from the East in the form I want, especially around here.

A good Tai Chi class with a good traditional (can still be american) teacher would be a good one to look for as they will know about energy development.  Hope that helps!

cheers!

Hi AstralPulse!

I've been coming here a lot lately, so I said why not join! I just got Astral Dynamics and I find it very interesting.
Some background: I've read two of Robert Monroe's books which has led me to work with The Gateway Experience, I am trying to have more LD, and I'm working on various projects involving dreaming. I believe in having an open mind, and well I'm interested in AP and OBE.

I've started working with NEW from Bruce's AD book and I'm finding TI and MBA to work for me well, although I have to put in lots of effort and concentration. I don't know if I'll be able to keep up with the exercises since they are very time consuming (rightfully so), and I've had a bad experience while working with the chakras so I fear working with them, especially with a method so effective. What I've been wondering is has anybody gone through or is still working on the methods provided within AD, and any success?
