I have one thing to say. You should do what feels right to YOU. No one can tell you what you should do, because we are not you. I am personally into visualization as well, but I do adapt different aspects of NEW because they work well for me. My technique is more of a compilation of many different techniques. So my best advise is to practice with many different forms and find what things work best for you, but also give things time, don't expect that all of the forms will work immediately, because some take time to develop and get used to, but once you are acclimated to it progress is very fast. So in short, don't be in to much of a hurry and be open to new ideas, but most importantly is do what you like. Good luck in you energy development journey, it is long but full of benefits.

In the NEW system, the tactile imagery and the mobile body awareness it is an extension of are given as alternatives to visualization. Tactile imagery is just a tool to be used in the rest of the system. You can use visualization instead if you prefer or you can combine the two. Sometimes adding sounds seems to help me. What matters most is to use your strongest perceptions. The material on the locations of secondary chakras can still be used. If you find that working on a small area does not work, you can visualize it as being magnified to several times its size. As an alternative, you can imagine that your point of awareness is becoming very small compared to the area you are working with.

Yes, visualizing the different sensations (stirring, brushing, sponging, and the rest) is just as good as using tactile awareness of them. It is better, even, if you can do it clearly. Rope and NEW were inspired by someone who was born without sight who found it frustrating that so many techniques use visualization. Robert Bruce then found that for most people the ability to visualize is too weak to be of immediate use but that tactile sensations could be re-created strongly immediately. The main idea is that the stronger the sensation you can create in an area the more energy will be drawn to it.

2.5 months is not very long.
