Title: Noise driving me crazy.
Post by: kiauma on January 26, 2004, 21:27:10
Many electronic devices do emit high pitch whining noises at a low volume which some people can be very sensitive to.

Really don't have any advice for you though.

two things you can learn: 1) how to ignore it. 2) how to readjust the sensitivity of your ears.

both work well together, so i'd suggest you don't learn just one.

Alas, this is one of the prices we pay for living in a world of microtechnology. It's not exactly an uncommon problem... Usually I don't notice it, but when I do, it doesn't annoy me. There really isn't anything you can do about it except, you know... Unplug the device. Or, listen to some music. Or something to drown it out. To take your mind off it.

Thanks for the advice. But if i don't learn how to control my ears and keep hearing these sounds[:(!]. I'm gonna be in a corner somewhere rocking back and forth eating my own hair.
