question about MBA T.I.

Hi Ben,

The basics behind MBA is to use your imagination to recreate the sensation you would feel if you were to do it for real.

It can be a bit of a mind bender at first if you are unused to such concepts, but I can assure you it is a form of visualisation, though it might better be called feelisation, as it is imagining the sense of touch, not the sense of vision.

As the doco describes,  run your finger around, say, the joint of your thumb. Do this with eyes closed and just think about the feeling on your skin as as your doing this. Keep in mind how your skin felt as you were doing this, then use your imagination only and hit your brain's replay button.

Recreate this same sensation around your thumb with your thoughts only, based on the memory of what it actually felt like.
Your minds eye will naturally be drawn to this spot, and it will seem in your mind like you are looking at that spot. That's ok, it's perfectly fine to do so. Its the touch sensation more than the image of it your trying to recreate.

thank you for the reply, i was the one argueing with him...thats exactly what i do. Though its kinda hard doing the full body thing cause i cant feel my whole body that quick.

In MBA, for best results you should visualise what you want to feel and then feel it. Visualising triggers the process faster.

i have the same problem, i dont really have a point of awareness yet, it is a lot easier to be aware of an area, or whole body part isn't it. Remembering what the scratching felt like seems to do the trick, i guess it just needs practise, afterall most kids dont manage to ride a bike first time.

I don't know how but the first few days after reading NEW I was easily able to make a point awareness without even highlighting and scratching and move it with some difficulty. But Now it seems difficult to make one. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

hey everyone,
me and this guy i know both bought the book astral dynamics and are reading it. but there is a very confusing part that we dissagree about.
he says that you are supposed to visualize (or imagine) your point of awareness when doing mobile body awareness tactile imaging, its what he's been doing.
however i have read and re-read the stuff on tactile imaging and mobile body awareness, and i am positive that you're NOT supposed to visualize anything. robert says to FEEL your point of awareness and ignore everything else. he also says to do it with your eyes closed and not rely on your sight to highlight things. logically this would also mean not to visualize anything while doing MBA T.I.
but as i have discovered, it is near impossible to feel your mobile point of body awareness without visualizing at least something. only when i'm really "in the zone", can i do it without visualizing anything. but it takes 110% of my concentration to do, and is really hard.
i am on the part where you first start tactile imaging on your thumb joint, and i just recently did it for about 45 minute, but i cant feel the slightest energy related feeling in the joint! i feel nothing in the joint! what am i doing wrong?
i can do the MBA where you move the point of awareness around your body just fine, i think it's because my point of awareness is pretty big, at least the size of my palm. but when i have to make it a tiny point on my thumb and go in a circle, this is nearly impossible for me.
please answer these questions i'd really appriciate it
