Title: Secondary Chakras and their functions?
Post by: Naiad780 on March 16, 2005, 23:31:26
Where can I find a list/diagram of all the secondary chakras and their functions?

To begin with, you have a secondary chakra in every joint in the body. There are a lot of joints in the body, especially the bones of the hands, feet, and skull.

Thanks!  And does each secondary chakra have a function, or something it is related to?  For instance, each of the seven major chakras has some particular area they're related to.

The important thing about secondary chakras is that they can help the primary chakras or hold them back. You'll have to ask Robert Bruce for details about them. I have no idea.

Develope the secondary chakras systematicaly a.k.a NEW and you'll find primary centre work a LOT easier and faster and/or other energy training-such as yoga, chi kung etc.
You can probably skip through years of trial and error by training the secondary system thoroughly-this is certainly the experience I've had so far.

Yes, I've been doing this for quite some time and I certainly agree with you.  I ask about secondary chakras now because I'm experiencing a lot of sudden, intense energy and when it occurs in the secondary chakras, I'd like to know what it could correlate with.

When you put it that way, it occurs to me that looking up the meridians could be useful. They involve the same parts of the body and they are related to organs and elements and seasons and times of the day and things.

So would that be like acupuncture meridians?

If you have a set of needles, great. The meridians are the meridians and acupuncture is a specific way of working with them. Acupressure is another way to stimulate points on the meridians and so is holding hot items like burning incense in the vicinity of the points on the meridians. NEW happens to be the way you have been working with the meridians so far.

Yeah I don't actually know anything about Meridians or Acupuncture - I'd just heard the two terms used together before.  But I don't recall anything in Astral Dynamics about meridians.  Where could I look this up?

Thanks for your help.

I believe it has something to do with areas where the energy gathered through the tertiary energy system converges before being sent to the three energy storage systems before being sent to the primary chakra circuit to be used, or to just uphold the body in it's position.

It is always better to get your information from several sources and different perspectives. The public library near me has been very helpful that way. I can't really think of a specific approach to follow to learn about meridians if that is your choice for something to follow up on.
