This is very interesting. Are you saying when the state is reached you almost go to animal like instincts. Whould this be fighting or shooting blasts of energy at your opponent. Then are you sure you wouldnt hump anyone while fighting them?

From your post it seems you know something about tantra too. I've been wondering about sexual energy lately. I seem to have an abundance of it, since I am madly in love and not sexually active. I've been abstinant for about a year. Just recently I've been following Robert Bruce's technique of putting energy in my lowest energy storage point (below the belly button).
Are there other ways to harness this energy? I'd love to read any more information on this if you're willing to write!

If you have been doing energy work the way Robert describes with his NEW method then you can basicly use it for sexual energy. Instead of pulling energy in through your feet and hands you just pull your sexual energy up out of the genital area, up your spine, over your head and down into the sub-navel storage area. For more details I am sure you can find a wealth of books on the subject at any bookstore or amazon.com. I am not familar with tantric but the Taoist practice, but I assume they are similar.

Lucid dancer, as fallnangel77 pointed out, you can direct energy up the spine. This is what I call the minor Kundalini mentioned above. This is the first stepping stone to harnessing this power.

So I should work at keeping my energies evenly balanced throughout my chakras? Hmm which is funner... bliss or sex... hard choice... Ill have to think on that.

What I've understood is that the waste of semen (in ejaculation) makes most of the energy loss and orgasm can be transformed thru right practices into something more vast and blissful than what it generally is for most people. The site has relatively good information, very simmilar to the works of Mantak Chia. But these type of techniques take quite some time and practice to get the hang of it. Even then, it is still a challenge.

pmlonline, I do not think that Roy is advising against sex because it wastes energy but advises against ejaculation because that is usually when energy is expelled from the body. Though I do not think that energy is lost through semen exactly, but more from the way we have learned to "have sex, or orgasm". We expell the energy when we ejaculate because when we were in puberty most of us did our thing with the intent to get it over with quickly so as not to get caught and with the intent to expel the urge for relief. After practicing this method for awhile I have ejaculated a few times and felt no energy loss. So I think it is possible to ejaculate without losing energy. But unless one is trying to reproduce then there is really no reason to ejaculate, for ejaculation and orgasm are two different things. If you are not expelling semen, then your body can absorb what is not used so nothing is being lost. I also believe that he is saying that reguardless of if you are having sex or celibate you still should work with your sexual energy and not ignore it. This can be done without any physical stimulation if you so choose.

Sex can be so spiritual, and bonding if with a partner, when one removes the "getting off" aspect of it and concentrates on the energies of it.

Ejaculation and orgasm are two different things. Today most people are lead to believe that they are the same thing, when infact they are not. In our fumbling during puberty they usually occured at the same time so we came to the conclusion that they are the same thing. I assure you they are not. There are also different kinds of orgasm that are not localized to the genitals. Yes the energy flow feels good, better then the genital physical orgasms most are use to. What exactly is your point, as I fail to see it, unless you are saying that you can have orgasm without physical sex.

What is the point of having cake if not to eat it? Tantric and Taoism are not Western. These practices were developed thousands of years ago in the East. Taoism is from China. I am not sure about Tantric as I have not studied it. In Taoism, sex is an important part of having a healthy life. When one does not have a partner, working with sex and its energies is still important. Hence if you choose not to have sex it is still important to work with the energy to remain balanced and healthy.

Tantrism is a very large topic, and what usually get's covered is tantric sex. Most books are about how to do it all night long, which obviously is not tantra.

I will be honest, I picked up a book about sex not knowing what it was really all about at the time other than sex. I find out it is about the Taoist Sexual practice. I have always had a rather strong sex drive and this gave me a way to direct that energy instead of expelling it. Luckily for me the book I picked up was not just about going all night long.[

] So maybe there are many more out there who have been introduced to energy work and other such subjects who other wise would not have if not for a book about sex, or what they though was just about sex.

I'm a 20 year old male and I have had the same girlfriend for about 3 years. We do not have intercourse and I am still a virgin, but we do partake in forms of sodomy (no anal). When I have an orgasm (which i have been able to separate from my ejaculation about 3 times (soooo hard to do especially considering the fact that I've never really studied tantric sex, I just heard about it and tried it, it's all a mental thing)) anyways, when I have an orgasm, sometimes I am able to get the same sensation that I get when I do energy work at night and move a point around my body. I can actually move the physical part of the orgasmic feelings all around my body and also make them last longer than normal sometimes.

I dont really see this as losing a vast amount of energy, I actually think it's possibly just another way to practice a different kind of energy work (sexual energy). Who knows. I haven't really read the majority of this post so maybe you already covered this but I figured I'd just share my thoughts on the subject.

Nice work without having done any studying on the subject. But really it is that simple, it is just energy work. I suggest you read the posts and find a good source on this to learn a little more about it to help you along. I also suggest both you and your girlfriend learning about it together, if she is interested, because when done together it can make your relationship much better and feel closer.

The basic technique for acheiving a minor Kundalini has already been described. It is simply the action of moving energy up the spine. The techniques above this I hesitate to spread since I do not graspe the full ramifications yet, even with myself.

Everything I learned was through trial and error, the minor Kundalini has given me quite a bit of insight. If you truly desire it, you will figure it out.

The Kundalini can be a double edged sword, I myself have encountered many problems that would scare to death many people. But if you stop when you have troubles, you will never superseed them.

As for gurus, most are simply out there to grab your money. Shaktipat does occur, but it is not the only path. If it was, who was the first guru?

What does Kundalini feel like?

I was doing energy work the other day and started feeling this hot sensation move up my back. It was rather hot, but not painful at all. It felt weird. It seemed to make me feel ... full in my entire torso area that it was moving up, like it started low and as it moved up my back it felt kind of like it was filling in my body as it moved. It only went about half way up my back and stopped. I did not try to draw it up, I just let it do what it wanted to do. I stopped the energy work soon after that.

I don't know what it was, but I have not experienced that before.

Have you felt or experienced Kundalini, Paul? Do you know or have you experienced what I described? Maybe I should make a new post for it so more people will see it.

I would suggest going slow and cautious when it comes to Kundalini. Though I have not experienced myself I have heard from everyone that has that it is not something to be played with as it is very powerful. Work on Robert Bruce's NEW Energy Ways system and start that practice if you do not have any energy development experience.
