The question is, do you really need help?? Seems to me that you've stumbled onto a bit of a discovery, that may or may not have been discovered before. Energy must have some sort of positive effect on our biological energies and wellbeing, just as Robert Bruce said.

energy development increases awareness of self and environment

this is a commonly held hypothesis/theory of energy work

I do not think it is directly the energy work that increases your senses, but it is the way you do energy work. You become more aware by doing energy work, which means you will be more aware of your surroundings when not doing energy work too. Though I do think that having a well developed energy body does help and has benefits.

To be come more aware and develop your senses all you have to do is use them. Humans have this really odd habit of ignoring their senses. Use it or lose it. During the day do not let your mind wonder but try to stay focused on the now, what is going on around you, and just try to be aware of your environment with all of your senses. The more you do this the more aware you will become.
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

but half of my question is somewhat untouched...
can one develope better instincts? a way to combine or bring the subconcious survival/self defense instinct into the concious so it can be directly manipulated into a razor sharp ability? could i possibly do this with kundalani developement? is it possible to give yourself at will, the ability during a highstress event, to not feel pain? i have heard of this sort of training for navy seals, but it is hypnosis based.

being "aware of the now" develops your energy body.  you don't have to consciously use your energy body to develop it- it can be developed indirectly through all sorts of things. remember- the more developed and balanced your energy body is the more balanced and developed the rest of you and your life will be.

I agree with what fallenagnel said.
About instincts, what would be the point to develop better instincts ? Become an animal again ? For it's all about this. Instinct are for the living beings that canno't think consciously of the situation there are going through. If we use less and less our instincts, it's for a reason.
Also, the survival instinct is in fact not to fight but to flee, as you mentionned it. An animal will always react by instinct and go away from the source of fear/threat. The ability to fight, moreover in a calm and "aware" way, is precisely to shut off the instincts and let the auto-conditionning work for you (which is NOT instincts). If you develop your instincts, you'd fly away even more quickly or feel even more fear.
Developping instincts is to let the body rule the spirit and not the other way which is the right one for reasonnable beings as humans.
This is the same for pain. The pain shouldn't be avoided, it's an important information given by your body on the state of your capacities. But one can overcome pain with mental training, up to realize only this informational aspect and not the pain in itslef as a feeling. I have done many martial art competitions (especially muay thai and wushu) and indeed it was important to recognize the pain but not feel it. The pain is there to indicate you something, so you can adjust your behaviour.

I came to this conclusion a little wile ago and sence then i have been compleatly aware of everything happining around me, I mean everything!. My whole life iv had this awarness thing going on where i can "feel" everything going on around me at all times [|)] it is a pain in the butt in crouds "shivers" feeling everybody in the croud at all time......i usuolly get a headache after 5min[V]

But anyway back to the subject. Sometimes i just set down and let all my sences take over. It helps a lot and i hav enoticed better hearing, smelling, and my awareness is getting better to [^] (my eyes arnt tho i have really bad eyes[}:)]) so just do what i do and feel, smell, and hear everything around you and you will get good resaults [:D]
Dont look at the world around you with your eyes, use your soul, and you will see more then you have ever imagined.

how can an individual develope normal senses better? i noticed while doing some energy work that at random points of the day, that my sense of smell seems to get much better, or sense of hearing gets abnormally better. (so it seems.) i was wondering if this is possible, or a fluke-a side effect to energy raising and blockage clearing. also, surviveal instinct, developeing the "fight" reflex rather than the "flight" reflex to eliminate shock and maintain a clear aware mind during a high stress situation (a good example would be, a street fight, kickboxing match etc.) any of you martial artists could probably help me. thanks allot.[8D]
