I realize there may be a thread already concerning this--if so please direct me.

I have recently begun seriously working on my energy and have gotten this extreme drainage and soar throat going.  Has anyone experienced something quite like this? Nonetheless, how would I go about balancing this negative flow in general? I am fairly new, and I'v already noticed myself be a lot less tired on very little sleep as well.  :D

FRom my own exerience, when i first started energy work in part. sub navel storage, i felt energised and could get little sleep also.
I also gota sore thorat when concentrting around that area at first but it went away after a few days, now and then it returns, i would think it is that that area is blocked or something. But perhaps get a medical check up to rule out other problems.
I think I read that doing the NEW system balances
energy overall and strengthens it...

Keep clear of incense and candle burning during your meditations!

Candles will fill the room full of hydrocarbons, and incense will give you a case of smoke inhalation.  I also suspect that scented candles are giving off particulates that are ultimately not much better than irritants.

Time and again, I have witnessed the cycle of Religious Celebrations using Candle and Incense, with everybody falling down with Cold and Flu symptoms the very next week.  The worst offenders are Native American 'smudgings' and 'sweats'.  But Catholic Ceremonies where they come out swinging the Incense Things come a close second.

People think that being 'Spiritual' will relieve them of the duty of using their common sense.  They suppose that such Traditional Ceremonies could not possibly be harmful or it would have become apparent long ago.  Well, it has.  These traditions source back to a time when every household was thick in smoke pollutions of one kind or another, and when Life Expectancy was about 40 Years Old, and where Infant and Child Mortality Rates were astronomical by todays standards.  Everyone attributes this to Hygiene and Diet, but if anybody were to place themselves into an authentic home of several centuries ago, the Smoke would be enough to make you choke.  That is why Tobacco was with us for 400 Years before anybody realized it was harmful -- with all the other Smoke being constantly inhaled, nobody was dying any sooner because tobacco smoke was added to the toxic mix.

So, I suspect that you are breathing unclean air.  Stop smoking.  And if you are burning anything... well... stop it.

Ha!  Leo, you suspect right.  A couple days ago was my grandmothers funeral.  I was up front row and boy did that priest go overboard on incense.  But thanks for the advice Leo, makes perfect sense!

I've been writing on line now for over two years and this is the first time anybody has told me I 'make perfect sense'.  First time for everything!

Oh... I just thought of something in regards to Tobacco Smoke.  Have you ever noticed that a Tobacco Smoker will wake up coughing and then have a 'smoke' to quiet the cough.  Or if a tobacco smoker will be smoking something else, or get caught in a cloud of smoke which will trigger a coughing attack, that by lighting up a tobacco cigerette they are able to appease the cough.  Tobacco has an obvious soothing effect.  Perhaps one of the primary attractions of Tobacco Smoke, in the old days, was that it accustomed its users to the inhalation of other environmental smokes and irritants.  In a time and environment where it was inevitable that one would have to breath in a cloud of pollutants, Tobacco Smoke would provide a soothing effect whereby a user would not have to be coughing all the time.  Of course, this would not diminish the ultimate harm that such toxins would eventually cause.  If you examine the European Literatures, it would seem that resperatory diseases carried off a sizeable portion of the population.  "Consumption" they called it.  For instance, less than a hundred years ago little Saint Therese coughed herself to death and none of the other Nuns noticed anything amiss until she could no longer drag herself out of bed.  There had been six or seven Bronte Sisters -- two or three died in childhood, and then two more died in their early twenties.  Only Charlotte made into her thirties, dying at 34 after having been married for less than a year.  And I would bet it was environmental smoke that killed them all.

Perhaps Tobacco Smoke did have a relatively salubrious effect -- that the nicotine would sooth the reaction to the other toxins and perhaps keep the level of immunity up, on the premise that a struggling body would succomb sooner, while the Tobacco Smoker would abide longer because the Nicotine had a quieting effect on the tissues.  This is simply a conjecture based on my guess that more women died than men, and that men were encouraged to Smoke while women were not.  In an Age clouded by atmospheric pollutions, Tobacco may have given an advantage.

But with the advent of electric lighting and clean heating, when living in a polluted home had become largely avoidable, then Tobacco Smoke becoming the ONLY smoke to be enhaled, showed that it could be a solitary danger

Interesting perspective.  It seems very possible that was the case.  I'm guessing you were once a tobacco smoker?

Also, in regards to my previous state of health (feeling better already!) I noticed I had a slight fever.  Shortly after I realized that my nose was stuffed primarily in the right nasal cavity.  Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard once or twice that one side led to hot and the other to cold.  However, from my own experience I had been led to believe that the left connects to hot and the right to cold.  Perhaps since the right (cold) was blocked, I had a fever?

Upon from that, I thought about when standing up and how it almost always clears my nose up immediately.  Perhaps this is related to the two channels in your hip that are being more or so activated when standing.
I also say that by walking around a little bit that the fever reduced significantly.

Just a couple thoughts.  Anyone else feel this way?

Hehe, you sound like my mom! :P

Youll get smoke inhalation from incense maybe if you stick your face right over 50 lit twigs and start deep breathing. One twig of incense can do the trick. Just crack open a window or two if they arnt already. jeez your killin an ant with a bazooka!
If you will it it is no dream.
