In the school of energywork that I was trained, the Golden Sun is the link between you and your higher self.  Most people keep it at quite a distance, but when you begin to develop yourself energetically and gain seniority as a spirit, you raise your ability to keep it close to the body.  You could call it the 8th chakra, though numbering chakras is confusing.  Another way to look at it is to say it is the higher self.  Through it you can call back your original essence, any lost soul, etc.  And it is an entranceway to the higher astral planes.

It's awesome that you experienced that...

I don't mean to say "this is what you experienced," but it sounds like a dead ringer.

Where did you find a school of energy work

The school I trained at is called Invision.  It's in Chicago.  They'll have a website soon: www.invisionchicago.org.  

The teacher there is a graduate of the Berkeley Psychic Institute program in Berkeley, California, USA.  

They teach meditation, healing and have a one-year intensive clairvoyant training program (which is what I did).  

I understand there's also a branch of Invision opening soon in New York.

But actually there are two other schools for clairvoyance in Chicago.  The Clairvoyant Center of Chicago (in Wilmette) and Apex (in Forest Park)...Chicago has a ton of energywork happening right now.  It's really wild.

A lot of psychics/energyworkers stay underground.  They stay out of the public way.  It's funny, when I go to healing hours (trades, circles) and what not, a lot of the places would be easy to miss unless you were specifically looking for them.  

But one goal of the school I graduated from--Invision--is to be accessible and not to try to hide from people.  I think psychics hide because they handle a lot of judgment from society at large.  My school gets judgmental letters and phone calls from organized churches all the time telling them they're going to hell, etc.

...I've personally found it's easier to just tell people what I'm interested in and let them deal with it and let their judgment, disbelief, resistance or whatever just slide off me (the old fifth grade I'm rubber and you're glue trick )

I've lit a lot of people up by talking at parties about my spiritual experiences, about my out-of-body experiences and the like.  I'm more open about it now because I hit a point where I was feeling like I wasn't really honoring what I believe in, honoring my experiences.  ...All in all I probably keep to myself more than I talk about it--(1) because I hate to argue and (2) because people might look at me as a huge source of information and of course I'm just like everybody else, a thing in motion, a process, I'm learning...

I already thought it had to do something with my higher self. Like a sign. I dont think it was an after image. Maybe you're right, maybe I'm tapping into my 8th chakra?!
Maybe it was a result of strong pressure on the third  eye due to the exercise.

Ok so a few days ago the pressure on my third eye spot was stronger then it had ever been before.(due to telekinis workouts etc!). Then when I went for my weight training in the gym I first did incline dumbell presses, and after every working set my sight would become blurry, and I actually saw blue fragments(instead of the colorless aura I can already perceive).

After this I continued with flat dumbell presses. And while at it, it was quite an intense training, I tried to summon power from my higher self, to get a few extra reps (it worked btw).

So after such a set I would close my eyes for a while and suddenly between all the chaos a bright(pingpongball sized) golden ball appeared! It was quite the experience for me because I never actually have been able to visualize a clear image with my eyes closed.

I havent seen my ball after that training again, but I'd love to be able to get it back at will, for I think it would be a great tool to focus energy.

Any input, suggestions?
