Title: The Real Deal
Post by: Malcolm on February 17, 2003, 15:39:22
If I had the facilities, I would provide you with footage, but for some reason I don't think you would be interested in watching me lie on a matress for 45 minutes doing the full body circuit, or sitting in a chair for 30 minutes circulating the microcosmic orbit. There is nothing visually spectacular about this type of training. In fact, it can be repetitive and even boring at times, since you are repeating the same energetic movement/cycle over and over.

You are probably looking for a video of someone flying or breaking boards with their mind. You will not find anything like that. Anyone who shows you pictures/videos like this just wants attention, as it's much easier to doctor photos and lie about abilities than it is to actually develop them.

Hear hear. However...
What about David Blaine's levitation eh?
Personally i think its awe inspiring and i am fairly confident in saying that i 'know' feats like this are possible. To reach such a level recures a helluva lot of dedication and training.Oh yeh, also, what about Yogic Flying?

Yogic flying? *raises eyebrow* Sounds kinda weird and/or DBZ inspired. Anyone tried it? Because if it is real and it works I would love to try it.

Isn't David Blaine the guy who does the foot thing? Or maybe that was some other guy...I can't remember.

Once I can actually DO something I might try to put footage up here of it. I'll have to figure out how to work (and get[|)]) my dad's digital camcorder first, though.

I just downloaded a clip of david blaine levitating. I doubt it's real, since he asks the viewers/camera not to move while he's doing the trick. If he really could levitate, then the angle of viewing would not matter. If levitation is possible (and I believe it is) it would require a very advanced level of mental/energetic development. Otherwise, we would all be able to experience it.

I once saw a yogic flying demonstation on television several years ago. It involved several people "bouncing" in a full lotus position. They pushed their knees against the floor to jump as high as they could while retain the lotus position. Some made it a few feet off the ground, but none of them defied the laws of physics.

I think Robert said that he has levitated before in an earlier post?

Thats called bouncing, for obvious reasons and is quite different to yogic flying which is puportedly the ability to levitate in the lotus position.Dont get me wrong, i dont claim to have done it or that i know someone has done it i just found the possibility of it being true to be quite easy to believe.Do a web search on the topic and see what you come up with.
