The Sensations of Energy

I would suggest you don't stress...[xx(]

I have only seen energy raising methods in the 'NEW' article and I have been only using them for a little less than a week and I do feel sensations.

Have you ever felt sensations at all? I was just wondering if this was something that stopped recently or if it was that you have never felt them.

Didn't Robert Bruce write in that article that it took him a good 6 months or so before he started to feel any sensations? Don't quote me but I think he wrote that somewhere, hopefully I'm not wrong.

Basically all I am doing is focusing my awareness on different parts of my bodies and using the full-body circuit. I have not tried at all to directly stimulate the chakras. I figure I've got atleast 50 years up my sleeve so I can afford to wait the suggested 6 months before I start working on the major chakras (maybe this is where I heard the 6 months?). What I usually feel is a tingling sensation that follows my awareness, although sometimes it can be a burning sensation. Last night though I spent a half an hour or something just doing the full body circuit into my sub-navel storage centre and by the time I was done I could feel it bubbling and gurgling. This feeling didn't really go away until a fair way through the day.

Either way aslong as you keep sweeping your awareness through your body you should be developing, wether you feel anything or not. Think about how often in the 'NEW' article it is emphasised that if you don't feel anything with a particular exercise just to move on with the next.

So keep up the hard work, one day it will pay off for you if you desire it enough I believe.

But remember I am just a raw beginner and you have the freedom of choice. You can either think about what I've said here or totally ignore it. It's totally up to you, remember you have the power to do anything you want to with your mind.

Thanks for the feedback Jazzarati. I have felt some sensations of energy but they have been very minor. Patience is not one of my better qualities so I guess I could be expecting too much too soon. I'm going to try some new exercises and see if I can find one that really resonates with me. I have always viewed energy sensations as a sign of improvement so I keep hoping I can notice something that will keep me motivated and on the right track. Thanks again.

Hey LJ,

I felt tingling in my thumb the first time I tried NEW, but I'd been doing Qigong for two years before I started. Even so, it was a *year* before energy sensations were strong enough in my body that I was finally convinved I wasn't imagining it half the time. Now, about two years after I started NEW, energy running through my body is a daily part of my life.

Make sure to relax, breath (very, very important), and feel. When you get a handle on a sensation, you can then work to amplify it. I'm going to contradict myself slightly now. If you do a motion, and pretend you feel something, you can bring on sensation, eventually to the point where you know you're not imagining it.

Even if you don't feel anything pretend/know/will that you're moving energy, and you will be. Eventually you'll start to feel it too.

All the best,

Mark

It's also possible that you may already have a developed energy body and this is why you are not feeling much. Sometimes feeling a lot is due to extra stress being placed on the pathways that it is not used to. The first few times I used new I felt very strong sensations but now these lessening very much to the extent that they are only small tingling sensations as it moves through my body.

I have been working with energy for almost two months now. I do several chakra exercises including some fron NEW. I try to cleanse, balance, and strengthen the chakras and I practice reiki. My concern is that I am unable to sense the energy I am working with. I do not feel any vibrations or other sensations in the chakras or any other part of my body. I have no desire to play with energy like making ki balls or trying to entertain myself with it. It's just that I feel like the fact that I can't sense it means that I am making slow progress and/or I've been doing something wrong. Does anyone have any advice on how I can start making progress? Are there any exercises that are more effective than most others? Thank you.
