Energy going to the wrong place

Dumb ? of the day: What is the NEW system?  I suppose it's a "qigong" technique described somewhere on this site?

NEW = New Energy Ways. It's what Robert Bruce recommends using in the Astral Dynamics book. Well worth a read.

I started using the NEW system last week. Am blown away with how well it works - no other method ever made the slightest impression, but I felt tingles within seconds of trying NEW.

And as a bonus, I've discovered I can do it at my desk at work - for hours on end. Mostly I'm just doing the energy raising technique of running it up my legs and into the sub-navel storage area.

Problem is, whilst I do get some sensations below my navel, I'm also getting them at the sides of my navel, and also in my solar plexus.

So is this because energy is being raised correctly, and then spilling out into the nearby centers, or am I actually sending the energy to the wrong centers?

Oh, and one other question - if I do energy raising until my entire lower body is tingling, and then switch to doing other things, does energy continue to be raised so long as I can feel the tingles, or do I need to continue the 'sweeping upwards' visualisation to get energy moving about?
