Hi galacticsurfer,

Thanks for posting this topic and welcome to the Astral Pulse! [:)] When you receive the book Astral Dynamics from amazon you will find an entire section on the NEW energy system. I tend to prefer the book over the downloads as the book is more complete in my opinion. Hope you enjoy reading it, again welcome.

Nick,

Thanks for the encouragement. I also do Tai Chi regularly and have noticed that sometimes just for fun I do some Tai Chi movements around my apartment spontaneously. This weekend I was doing that and after awhile noticed how my energy increased. Heart Chakra stimulated, etc. I thought why do I get this feeling more when I am not doing the exercise proper but only when I am doing it for fun. I noticed that I concentrate more on the individual movements and tense my muscles as I am not in a hurry to get through and worried about making a mistake with the forms and their sequence. I tried this muscle tensing in my whole normal routine yesterday evening with the assumption that the chi or energy would flow better and I was right(it also worked up a sweat and got my heart pounding a lot quicker than usual).

Now I am still thinking about the NEW technique and how it works. RB reccomends scratching a place to stimulate it. Some people have however written e-mails to the group here that sometimes even that does not work and they are stuck. I would suggest maybe short quick muscle tensing around the chakra additionally to get electrical energy flowing from the muscles. I know this is a basic part of the yoga relaxation at the end of a yoga asana routine where one lies down and tenses all the muscles one after the other to relax them. This has always helped me feel energy flow at the end of a yoga routine. I think the NEW technique could be enhanced by using the muscle tensing technique, especially for beginners. At any rate I feel today after having used the muscle tensing technique during my Tai Chi routine of 15-20 minutes  (instead of just fluidly dancing around without tensed musles) and then having done the NEW technique before going to bed that today the energy flow is clearly deeper into my muscles in the arms and legs than yesterday. I still have no negatives like headaches, etc. so I will keep on experimenting. I had remembered the instructions in my Tai chi book were that it works better when one inmagines a real enemy to fight with. I have just now relaized what that meant. Of course the muscles will be tensed if you have to really fight and block and this will not be just a light dance as I have done until now. That is of course the purpose to get the Chi flowing.

I remember also another reference to muscle tensing technique from Yogananda. Apparently in the 1920s or 1930s Americans were not into Yoga asanas so he had to to find another way to get them fit and invented a technique where they tensed their muscle groups one at a time and this technique was so well developed that his younger brother came to the USA and gave demonstrations of strength using these muscle/energy techniques. I do not know exactly how that worked but I can imagine that a combination of that technique with the NEW technique would be pretty useful to getting energy moving into deeper layers more quickly and effectively.

Any body have experience or want to try this and tell me your results?

the muscle tension thing you spoke of is a very well established technique to get energy and other things flowing.  i practiced marshall arts for ten or so years and that was integral to "warm up" in the beginning of a session.

it's also a generally good way to raise massive amounts of energy- as you have noticed, no doubt.

it's called dynamic tension

I started doing NEW techniques a few days ago while reading the download from astralpulse. I also read about healing techniques and Aura reading and have now ordered the book Astral Dynamics at Amazon and it should come in a few days. I found it great on Monday doing the NEW techniques as I was reading the text between telephone calls and whatever in the office. As I already have a well developed energy body(yoga, Tai chi, Kriya Yoga) I was open to the idea but it seemed too easy and obvious. The fact that it worked so well after only a few hours practice is amazing really because it is a "no brainer". You do not need a guru for this one, so to speak. I am surprised nobody thought of it before. Usually when I try a new energy method I have to be careful because I get fatigue or headaches. What RB said in the text about the reasons for this were the first time I think I read that. Usually they(gurus/teachers) do not say much about possible negatives or why the body reacts as it does as RB mentioned these problems and their reasons in his text. I did too much too fast and my energy body/nerves were too fragile to handle it. i.e. energy overload.

I have somthing else to add to the NEW bag of tricks. I have noticed since doing NEW technique that after I am well warmed up just sitting quietly and still that my crown chakra turns around like a top/lighthouse light, etc. every couple seconds. This effects my whole body in the way that it feels the energy coming from above at each "pass" of the strobe and invcreasing the energy in each slice of the body at each pass. You could also see the chakras as a slowly turning(clockwise from above) pole going through the middle of the body from 1st to 7th Chakra. The good thing about this is just by being physically still I can get really warm and trancelike and do not get any negatives like headaches(because energy gets distributed evenly over trunks, arms, legs?). This Strobelike motion can go on perpetually. With the full body storage circuit I get similar results with warmth, relaxation but I need to synchronize my breathing. The full body storage circuit or at least arm and leg warmup and bouncing daily seem necessary to get me to where this crown chakra strobing works correctly and effortlessly. At any rate the full body storage sircuit before bed has improved my peace of mind by carrying the energy flow/circuit over into sleep.
