The reason there are no ki soldiers or any of that is because everyone wants a scientific explanation for everything. Simply put, many people believe that if there's no equation for it, it can't exist.

I have that same weird thing about more Ki coming on the exhalation. I would appreciate any possible explanations. Or maybe I'm just not doing it right...[|)]

Here's a good question, has anyone been able to see ki yet? In a lot of stories, people who can use ki can see different colored kis around themselves and others. I'm not sure if this is an aura, because I know that an aura can show specific traits of individuals but 90 percent of the color is based on the color of clothing or physical and emotional condition. etc. diseases

Ki is visible...to the third eye. The third eye chakra/storage center focusses on one's sensitivity to energy. Because of its linkage to the physical eyes, seeing ki IS possible. Also, normal eyesight can sometimes pick it up if the ki is INCREDIBLY strong. I have once achieved a purple fog in front of me without using my third eye.

And about ki warriors and such. Most minds these days are materialistic and if there isn't an equation, physical proof or something you can dissect in a lab, it isn't real according to them. I would suggest you shut your trap about it at school, people knowing is dangerous.

Getting started because of anime? This is logical because, of course, DBZ was inspired by ki. Of course it is overexaggerated and things like that would be unaccomplishable in our life times. Ki is in fact, the Japanese word for energy or power, Chi being the Chinese. Westerners identify it as Mana or Psi, although the practices for each vary quite significantly. Try not to look at too many sites about KI itself. Those sites are usually written by people who spell like 4 year-olds and they are so lost in their DBZ fantasies I feel like breakin their face! A lot of these sites also lack in explanation because the authors followed a path of ki that was very hard to learn, and they cannot explain their accomplishments on to a single site. The rest are just crackpots.

About the breathing thing. DON'T put your arms by your torso. Relaxing your arms AWAY from any part of your chest usually removes this feeling because your diaphragm is what causes your hands to push away and come back in. I've created this magnetic effect before without my arms (except for my shoulders) touching my main body. I just create a strong ki ball and program it to stay together, then I make it constantly push out a magnetic force and pull in at the same time. Pretty neat feeling[]

why doesn't the government use ki? cause they don't know it exists. their still trying to quantify things like remote viewing and psychics, the mere basics in my opinion, to be going on to a subject as confused and misunderstood as ki.

besides, there are so many fakes out there that people just believe all people who claim to use this stuff are frauds, coupled with the fact that there is no hard "evidence" in the eyes of the scientific community to prove the existance of ki, chi, psionics, or any other metaphysical abilities as of yet, means that the government might still be researching it, in private, but certainly aren't going to go about "wasting" taxpayer's money on "fraudulent" frivolities. the gov may be less accountable than ever before, but they still have to keep up appearances.

ki in japanese means, inner strength of personality. chi in chinese means breathe, literally, but is more translated on a concept of spiritual energy. i don't even know who came up with the lame idea of "psi", but what i have heard of "psi" points to the fact that it is a smattering together of a bunch of abilities all combined under one word. kinda like saying angels, chi, and airplanes are magic.

and about the breathing thing, don't breath for a while. or learn how to keep your energy moving in the desired direction regardless of your breathing pattern. by the fact that your breathing was affecting you, it means you didn't create a ball of energy, but were merely pushing energy from each hand at the other hand, creating the push you feel. the push then becomes a pull when you inhale and your energy likewise pulls inward.

I'm an avid viewer of anime and I've always believed in ki and energy and such, I always wanted to learn if it was real and how to use it but I didnt know how to go about it. Finally I searched for ki on the internet and found many texts about how to develop it and everything. I started doing this yesterday. I think I made a ki ball today, i couldnt see it, but my hands felt a little like magnets, I wasn't sure if this was cause of ki or because my hands were tired after being held up for 5 minutes. The magnet feeling usually only came as i exhaled, it seemed to drastically weaken when I inhaled. When I saw this messageboard I was surprised at how many people know about ki, but my question is that if ki is so powerful then how come everyone doesn't know about it, how come the government doesnt have ki soldiers and such.
