Have you considered using the search for threads with reiki in the subject line? It has been discussed many times here.
you'd rather someone explain it to you than look at two detailed sites that contain more concise information than i probably remember?

reiki is a game. it's similar to hopscoth except a watermelon is used in place of the rock that is thrown. it's not really played too much anymore because of the cost of the watermelons. (they break after the first throw) fortunately for the members of this forum, robert bruce has decided to take some of the proceeds from his book and sponsor our 'astral pulse reiki team'. honestly, i don't know how he can afford to keep buying these watermelons.

Honestly nobody can really detail Reiki in just a few short forum posts. Replies and book links is what you'll get if you're looking for research here on the AP forums - after all, they're much larger and contain better information than what most of us could say in a 30 min lecture.
You're better off reading - all ya gotta do is click. I don't see what the trouble is. And those sites aren't stupid, they're actually quite detailed.
