what is ki/chi?

The answer is fairly basic. If you speak to a Tai Chi instructor they will tell you that the chi is simply - breath.

Might sound pretty unexciting, but consider all that breath entails - for us it is life.

Another straight forward description of chi/ki is life energy. it is the basic stuff of our energy body.

Getting enough oxygen is vital.

If I remember right getting enough oxygen in yourself
is also anti-oxidizing. Which means that you age slower.
Enough oxygen means less radicals in your body which means

The word for chi is most definately breath.

So when we do "energy gathering".. what are we gathering?  I thought it was chi, but breath doesn't move paperclips... unless you are breathing on them : )

If it's really an air ball, does it say that people can manipulate and control air naturally? NO!

Chi/Ki is the endless cosmic energy that exists in every object and living thing in the universe. It's the spiritual form of everything!

In creatures it's the vital energy. The storage of ki is located in the middle of the human body exactly in the Hara/lower Tan-tien.

Chi(chinese)/Qi(Japanese) is a vital breath. But it is an abstract discription which is common for Eastern Philosophy. Basically, during Chi-Gung (Work on Chi), you move your life energy using your breath and store it in tantien (near 2nd Chakra).

Every living creature has Chi. When a person has a lot of chi, it overfills the tan-tien and it travels in the body. It can than be used to heal or do deadly punches. Chi uses Meridians to move. When u are sick, chi travels to the wound and heals it. The obstruction of a chi path  as well as local chi disbalance are the reasons for a desease.
Tai(Universal)-Chi is a Universal Energy that binds everything.

It is not easy to understand chi with terms used in Robert's Treatease on AP. Sometimes, you can understand it as Etheric body only, sometimes as Astral body, but most commonly as all of them together.
