what is this "third eye"?

I see you used your first post as a question. I don't know whether to applaud you or...well, I'll just tell you to use the search forum if you have any further questions. If you did and you're still not getting what you're looking for after about 3 searches (or until you get tired of searching if it's more than that), then post your question. Anyways, that was just a formality (since you are so new), but I suggest heeding that advice, despite.

Ok, now to the 3rd eye. This goes by a few names...including "the seat of the soul" and the 6th/brow chakra. It is considered to be directly related to your psychic abilities, and the person who owns this webpage, Robert Bruce, even believes so still after many many years of spiritual development. You cannot physically see or feel this place, but if you think about a spot in the middle of your face no more than a cm (usually less) above your brow and about 7 cm into your brain, that's where it's considered to reside. As for an explanation about what exactly it is made up of besides a chakra, I can't answer that for you, yet.

Now I base all of this information off of several internet and book related information, not to mention pressure sensations that I get myself. If you need more info, ask away.

Well I will tell you from my info what is the third eye and I'll tell you that if you want to understand it more it will not happen until you reach to live it's experience by yourself and see how it works.
The third eye or in it's original name "the 6th/brow chakra" is located between your 2 eyes a little up directed to the brow and 7 CM's inside your head. The third eye like all the chakras "energy stations" is responssible for all your psychic abilities and psycho skills and believe me there are a lot of skills that a human can develop. You have probably heard of telequinesis or telepathy, empathy etc.. they are all manipulated by your third eye. when you reach to open it you will first be able to clearly see a human aura, by the time you'll be able to see it in 3D.
The third eye is fed by concentration and imagination or visualization. Work on meditations it can help a lot. In my opinion, opening the third eye is really nothing especially if you are doing it by auric sight practice because you don't have to concentrate at all just relax and put your focus down.
