As far as I know, there is a misconception around Jing. The westernised idea is that it is compacted energy that is uncontrollable and can do immense physical damage - bovine excrement. The real Eastern term is either sex energy (I think) or a purer life energy (again, I'm sketchy on the details). It is definitely NOT, however, physical damaging energy and it sure as hell can be controlled.

That is how I have chosen to try to present the idea. I do not really know why jing and ki are talked about at the same time, though, when it is chi or qi which is relevent. And isn't the third treasure spelled shen?
