You are what you eat?(food and energywork)

(oh somebody is gonna hate me [|)]) junk food mostly. pizza, pepsi (sometimes 4 litres a day, usually about 2L a day.. breakfast is sometimes pepsi, and sometimes (though more rarely) pepsi is both breakfast and lunch), breakfast cereal when it's not pepsi, and ramen. dinner is usually a good meal consisting of veggies, meat, and potatoes ^_^ .

but when i recognize that my body seriously needs water or vegetables, and when it does i definately give it what it needs.

and sometimes i'll go on short water fasts (from one to three meals usually)

Surely "you are what you eat" sounds good, but not litteraly... if you eat pork... if you eat meat of horses, rats..? if you eat veggies...

But sure what you eat can make you feel better or worse.

There is a posting by Adrian "are you vegetarian" or something like that. Well I am veg. The think is that meat is heavy to digest and so for sure being a vegan can help a lot. Also dairy products are notorious for triggering alergies in people, either it is in the form of heavy mucus in the throat or really in the intestin (children can be so allergic to dairy products that they can have bleeding in the intestin, very scary!). I also avoid alcohool when I can, as it really changes your state of concisouness. Also today many animal are treated with hormones, so that when you eat them you get the hormones in one form or another. Also if an animal has suffered during its life or during its slaughtering (brutal slaughtering) then it produces also all kind hormones and these are also not so good to eat. Diet can defintely makes you fell better or worse.

I think it's more of intent of what you eat. Society has defined what is good for us, and that aura channels into requirements. However, individual beliefs can overcome what they think if they are set enough. I truly believe my diet is perfect for me, which consists of what I feel is right for me to eat at the time. I essentially ask my taste buds what they want, and lo they even let me know when I've had enough! They make me stay away from a variety of veggies including bell peppers, mushrooms, nonpickled cucumbers, peas, carrots, tomatoes, salads in general, and stuff like that. However I do get a lot of starches, and there are some veggies that I truly love including correctly cooked green beans, asparagus stalks, broccoli, cauliflauer, lettuce with salt, and other normal stuff. I am weaning myself off red meat right now so I won't go there. Let's just say the good stuff that I truly like a lot, I listen to if my taste buds don't really want it right then. I think this is what keeps me at a good weight (~160 lbs/~50 kg at 68 inches, male). My body fat never goes over 14%, ever. You just have to believe your diet is perfect for you, and don't listen to anyone telling you you're too picky or too not picky. It doesn't matter to them because they're not you!

i know im kinda late to reply, but my diet is...nothing! ive been fasting for a while and its better for your energy and when you practise psychic stuff...its a lot harder when you eat

Better late than never , didnt seem to be a particular interesting thread . Hmm wonder why it would be easyer spiritual on empty stumach. Seems like a easter teory .

The thing is that digestion requires a lot of the vital energy in your body, so you canno't use it all for another purpose (energy development, OBE, chakra work etc) Fasting is good for this (it can even be needed for some hard energy-demanding stuff - ie. kundalini raising). It is why it is also recommanded to eat if you got some annoying energy sensations in your chakras after having done energy work.
However our body needs to eat to be fully functionnal, and a little bit of everything is the better way. Avoiding too chimic products is recommanded (moreover sugar !) A lot of vegetables is very good and healthy, but meat as well, though not too much. Dairy products could be avoided as there aren't well absorbed and can cause problems (acne etc)

Yup, as does chocolate. But we often don't think about the dairy products ;) There are very bad for the body moreover if "0%". In this case (of "very low fat" milk for example), all what is still in the product can't be digested by our body, it's mostly toxins for it. I had some acne problems (not very much but i hated it - as every teenager ;)) and it stopped about a week after i stopped drinking more than a glass of normal milk a day. Results are impressive.

oh, well i never had acne...i hope i never do! thanx for the tip! (i HATE milk anyway) but now i'll just stay away from ANY dairy...but eating stuff is good for TK but its bad for AP and OBE...not sure about the other stuff...

Well so they say , doing energy work is good for boosting your energy but so is eating things(after all without food we die).
I just wanted to know if someone has a spesial diet they use while doing energywork or one they just use strictly in spesial periods.

So what do you think? Does what you eat have anything to do with energywork/raising?

Ill give you mine Diet:umm I am no veggie , but i dont drink milk or dairy products (or as little as i can) ,when im going for a healthy foodwise period i dont eat much  potatoes (or much carbohydrates besides those natural in the things i do eat) wich is , fish , meat , salad and vegetables and fruit. And i stop eating before im full I wait a quarter if im very hungry after that ,then i eat a little more.  

Seems like when the body feels you had a meal but not fill your belly to normal levels. it will after 10min-15min assume it just wasnt more to get and turn on the content feeling.

Its my own diet and for me pounds run off if im getting a bit overweight.(10kg one month WITH exersise(a daily 20 min walk ) ,about 5 if not).
Why i dont use it all the time? well i realy dont wanna loose all body fat(yupp guess its just me whos crazy[;)]) and carbohydrates seems like a good way to stabilize(small gain) . And albeit on carbohydrates you dont feel as energized your stamina seems higher (you gotta eat several meals to keep activity up without carbohydrates in the long run as i guess the bodyfat is gonna run out if kept up without eating many times a day).

Eating fruit 10-15 min before every meal seems to give me a extra boost(eat it while i cook).
I instinctivly came up with it , while i had kundalini experiences ,my taste changed so it was what i wanted to eat(and when!). So i just been having it since as my diet for loosing weight and feeling extra energized for relative short periods(14days-a month) . Though i gotta admitt it doesnt taste so very sweet as it did back when i came up with it(LOL i was almost drooling everytime i made food then because of the smells).
