If you have any "very specific psychic ability" like healing or other, with time you should experience more of it and in a very clear manner. At least this is how it happened for me. I always had very good intuitions and feelings about things and people and then one day it came clear like crystal that this ability was precongition. It first came clear in premonitory dreams where I could see things that would happen within a few days (things from the news). Since then I have practiced remembering my dreams and found out that this ability is there, however it has happened more randomly than I wished it would. Anyhow, I belive that if you have an ability it should come up one day very clear and very precisly in a way that you will have your very own proof to yourself that it is so.

As to healing I do not know much. There are the praying healers who can pray to help people and those who touch people and heal them instantly. Anyhow I would not believe I am a healer just because someone would tell me so, I would believe it when it would happen that I heal someone. So you are right that you might need some help to find out WHO YOU ARE []  .

Anyhow, if you need to try on someone remotedly, I can try to be your patient...

well i dont think my ability will just pop up in my face! i have to find it and it will be natural to me...so i wanna try healing. ive tried so many different things! healing takes meditation, and meditation is my strong point right now, so it will probably be easy for me. i just have to learn.
can someone just tell me the basics???

for healing, i can get the energy flowing up my feet, through my heart, and to my arms....NOW HOW ON EARTH DO YOU RELEASE IT??? i tried just pushing and forcing it out...nothing......so how exactly do you release energy to someone else?

Hi SmileySpirit14,

Interesting little thread... Healing is a wonderful gift. It can be difficult telling family and friend about ones expanding awareness and connection with things spiritual. When the time is right they will appreciate how important this is for you... it was something I chose a number of years ago and lived to survive it.

I respect that your family's belief systems may now seem outmoded to you now... in time they will know intuitively that you have outgrown the shoes you had appeared to be set in place for you. It is joyful to see someone so excited about their wonderful potential... good luck on your path.

Also don't worry too much about the path you appear to feel drawn to. Many people come to healing via meditation or energy work and think that's it that the one for them, you will find that a range of wonderful gifts may well appear and drift tantalizingly before your eyes. Approach what intuitively what feels best for you! It may be that spirit communication or healing or a completly new deeply spiritual path may follow, but which ever way it will be right for you.

With respect to sensing whether or not you can feel the flow of healing energy at the point of your hands or feel heat when applying healing with another. It is really a matter of trusting that the healing will be given. Your intent to offer yourself as an instrument for healing is the real key. I am sure that is the case for you! This often begs the question 'has the healing had a positive and beneficial effect for the recipient'. The healing has been given and will provide a true and good benefit. A very gentle word of caution: wherever possible do not become overly attached on a personal level to the outcome of healing given. Again trust that it has done even if it may appears that the desired result is not forthcoming. Giving too much of yourself can on occasion be very draining for the healer... therefore try not to use just your own energy... it is good practice to attune with whatever divine source seems most appropriate to you, be is Reiki, healing love, mother earth, guided assistance etc. No doubt you already do this anyway.

If you have an opportunity try to join a respectable healing group or circle. Avoid courses which give you a worthless certificate after spending 100's or 1,000's of hard earned cash for packed out and often short workshops. I assume you are in the States... in addition to the splendid work to be found on Astral Pulse some interesting sites worth looking at include: -

ok, i have have spoken to many people about me. i know i can do sumthin...i can feel it bottled up. i did TK but that wasnt it. ive done Tpathy, phychic visions, magic, spirit communication, the list goes on...none are what im looking for...SO ANYWAY i talked to these ppl and they say im a natural born healer...me, a healer??? i know nothing about it. ive read articles on it that R. Bruce wrote but im still clueless...does this kinda healing heal the spirit, the physical body, the mind..? i dunno! i read how to do the tech, but who do i practice on? iv only told like 2-3 ppl about all my abilities...i cant go to my family or friends.....
I SERIOUSLY NEED HELP!!! maybe this healing stuff is what ive been looking for...who knows? someone please explain[]
