Raising energy doesn't increase blood preassure. In fact energy raising is usually done in a meditative state where you're pulse rate lowers, so your blood pressure should be normal.
I'm guessing here that while you were waiting for the doctor you weren't actually reaching a meditative state and raising energy, but more likely raising nervous energy (for want of a better way of putting it). Seems like your reacting to pre-defined expectations when you go to the doctor. Not uncommon at all, and a lot of doctors take this into account when reading blood pressure. Other doctors actually make the problem worse by commenting on the higher blood pressure hich can just be "doctors office syndrome".
As to tightly shielding, perhaps you need to ask yourself why your doing this. If its fear based, it would be more beneficial to work on being rid of the fear rather than sheilding so much.

Good points, and I thank you. I know I've conciously lowered blood pressure and heart rate tremendously before, especially during stress tests. I think maybe it is fear a little bit. I have seen some scary things in a doctors office. I have real problems in hospitals. I have this compulsion to help, but I know a 1/2 hearted effort can be dangerous to me (I've had a few bad healing attempts, but many good ones also).
I guess its more a lack of confidence, joys of being a closet practicioner so long [:I]
I saw my medical doctor today, sort of a second opinion on myself. My initial blood pressure was 130/100. I know that I have "Doctors Office" syndrome, it comes from tightly shielding from the overload of sickness and bad Karma that abounds there.
So, while waiting for the doctor to come in I decied to build a little power. Okay, a lot of power. The room had a off-yellow feel to it. My doctor (whom is a great guy and willing to listen to unusual things [;)] ) took my blood pressure again (since it was a little high). 160/130.
My question: Does raising power raise your blood pressure? Or was it a side affect of tightly shielding? He wants me on meds (not going to happen)...
