Root Canals

 I have been having a problem w/ an abcessed tooth. I went to the dentist and he recommended root canal in order to save the tooth. I have read alot of nightmarish stuff on root canals and am conflicted to whether I should have it done, or extracted. I have been leaning towards exrtaction, but like I said I am conflicted and feel I need to do something. Anyone have any experience with this matter and or suggestion?

i have had it done to me before its no big deal they just drill out the nerve and fill it in with metal

Hi,
I've had 2 done and almost fell asleep.
Its all nonsense storytelling to instill fear.
Afterwards the teeth were perfect and now I can chew ice with them. The others still react to cold though.
Get it done, its a nobrainer.

I've had it done it is not that bad to me it's like a filling but longer. Anyways I'd rather have it done than lose a tooth.
