Personally I think he is as crooked as a dogs "hinn" leg.
Words.....there was a time when I believed in words!

I saw a TV show on such people, though I can't remember what, if anything, was said of Hinn or any other specific names. The show explained how the truly sick people, such as people in wheelchairs or on crutches, missing limbs and etc., were placed in the back out of the view of cameras and so that they couldn't get to the stage. When the ones on the stage are touched, they are sometimes pulled back by the people that are supposedly there to catch them, or moved in other such ways as to make it seem like something spiritual is actually taking place. Cameras are positioned tactically, etc. Almost like professional magic shows you might see (magic as in slight of hand).

I probably should've paid more attention to that show, but I don't guess it really interested me that much since it was not at all surprising to me and I don't care for the church anyway. You can probably find similar information on Google by doing a search for Hinn.
What is the sound of no leaves cloving?

Logic

Sooner or later they all get exposed as frauds, the guy just pushes them over and no one gets healed. Its funny, the people are surprised when they go up on stage and the "healer" tells them their problems, which the people write down before the show and submit.
We are not truly lost, until we lose ourselves.

I think I saw the same program, it was really sickening and very offensive. I think the program was actually about that guy Hinn. Wow maybe , just maybe we found something we agree on, wouldn't that be great [;)]

Nay

I saw years ago, a man being exposed for this type of healing.  He wore a earpiece while his wife was in the back, reading those cards that the people fill out.  Plus they had people standing around listening to the crowd and then relaying the information to the wife..

It really irritates me to no end, when people say they are a tool for God and then lie and cheat their butts off..grrrrrrr [}:)]

My opinion - its all psychology - a placebo effect!

I spent quite a bit of time in churches that practice this 'slaying in the spirit' as I've heard it referred to by many pentecostal ministers. Ugly term really!

Some preachers will touch your forhead just lightly and let psychology do the rest - people go up expecting to end up falling over so they do.

At the more extreme end of the spectrum are the shonky preachers who will actually push, to the point that if you resist and take a step back, they'll keep exerting pressure by taking a step forward and keep doing this until you give in and fall, or trip.

The effects that the spirit of the Creator can have on people can be a very real thing, but I've tended to be of the opinion that where a lots of hype and money are present, the true spirit of god isn't.

James.

It's more likely to be psychological thing man![8D] James S, you always get the right hinch at least it feels right, there are too many people and it would be very unhuman for it to be an act I mean there were children that had bone eating or tissue eating diseases(why would children lie)and for Benny to lie to use stunts to put blind faith in them, who would live with such a thing, but then there are clear comments by the healed that they felt electric sensations.
Well with the psychological thing I guess the person is affected by hyped sensation which is caused from seeing all the healing and the in the monent type of thing. like all the lights and action which makes you play along without even knowing it.

Kuhl

Some day I hope to have the ability to heal ailments on a large capacity (my hands tingle with energy with the thought).  I am not saying that he believes he is healing, but the possibility does exist.

It also seems to me his need for financial gain would destroy his gift (if present).  I will say that I never got a good feeling watching his show.  His entire stage is covered in gold.  If they are going to claim to be christians and be an example for other people they should really follow the word of the bible and learn not to seek gain, in any form.  If he was a true child of god it seems he would go to the people to heal them, not have them (the sick) come to him.

James S

Oh it exists allright Kuhl. It's more than just possibility.

I watched a real miracle healer at work once. it was in a small church, a quiet do. This healer was completely unassuming - no whooping and hollering, glitz and glamour or song & dance. He just went through the people asking if anyone had illnesses or ailments they haven't been able to get rid of.

One teenage boy in the church had to wear one shoe with a platform  sole. He had one leg about 2 inches shorter than the other. The healer took the guy's shoes off, placed his flat open hands under the heals of the boy's feet so he was just touching them, closed his eyes and whispered very quietly. We were all circled around fairly close, and my jaw dropped, as did the jaws of most of the people there as we actually watched this boys short leg grow the couple of inches needed in a few seconds.

We'd all seen people beforehand prayed over for stomach complaints or whatever other internal ailment that you would physically see the results of. The healer would just lightly place a hand on their shoulders or an inch or so in front of the problem area. He was always very gentle. Most of us probably thought they felt better through the power of suggestion, but we were stunned into wide-eyed silence when we saw this boy's leg grow. he went home barefoot. Took him a short while to get his balance, but he couldn't walk with his one platform shoe anymore. The healer repeated this with a lady who'd been suffering chronic lower back problems. though it wasn't noticeable when she was standing, she too had one leg a bit shorter.

The difference was this healer was a quiet, modest man. No ego, no performance, but with the most amazing gift. As I mentioned earlier, where money and hype are present, the spirit of God isn't. This healer had no hype and little need of money, but he must have had a huge bucket load of the spirit of God.

Kind regards,
James.

His name is Benny Hinn(famous), he touches people on their head and they fall down on the stage.
When they stand up they say a electric sensation like lightning surges through them and they feel much better and are fully healed from all sorths of diseases even the handicapped actually stand up from their wheelchairs.
Here is a site with a pic of him and it explains what he does.
