Something else I just ran across:  There are two outer ear chakras, which are purportedly linked strongly to the throat chakra, and two inner ear chakras which are strongly linked to the sexual organs.  The inner ear is also, as you know, associated with "balance".  These findings suggest even more possible causes, yes?

Targa,

Personal healing is a very, very, complicated issue and cannot be fully understood in a single post.  What you decsribe about your condition can be interpreted in many ways.  And all of them can be correct!!!  Regardless of the causes of your impairment, you must take responsibility of your recovery!  All healing begins on a mental/emotional level.  Once you clear away all obstacles .... fear, anger, confusion, negativity, you can move forward in a healing attitude.  Intention is "Everything"!!!!!!  Thoughts are "actual" things ... real packets of energy that influence our way of thinking!  You can actually think yourself well!!  You have the power to heal yourself!  It is in you to make all positive things happen.  Open yourself up to the possibilities of being well, and you and the universe will make it happen!

I've heard about some people whose hearing was healed with energy.  I don't know how true it may be, but just wanted to let you know that I've read that it's possible.

Here's something someone posted some time ago in a Yahoo Group I used to visit:

Hey bud,
This is my last chance to get to my email before we leave to go
trekking in the morning. I didn't even know the hotel would have a
way to let me access the internet. I guess I was thinking of this as
some rundown third world country but the capital city isn't as bad as
I thought. It's bad but not as awful as I expected. The children's
mission we visited tonight was depressing and very cool at the same
time but I'll get to that in a minute. I had a magic related
experience at the children's mission. Well, Steve actually did
something magic related and I just watched, and I learned some weird
things about how he does energy work. He freaked me out tonight with
this magic. I don't know why I got freaked out since I should know
well enough to expect weird things from him by now. Steve is on the
phone right now with some guy in Tampa about wiring a donation to the
mission, so I'm going to hang out for a while and write everything
down in a "vacation diary". I know everyone will see the videos from
the whole trip when we get back (I'm going to make you suffer through
watching every minute of tape...heck, I'm even going to make copies
for Rhi and Mike and make them suffer long-distance :-) but I don't
feel like talking into a camera to describe everything that happens
so I'm going to write some of it down. Anyway, on to the real scoop...

We got here about seven hours later than we'd expected to get here
because of the late flight, so we didn't get to walk around the city
like we'd planned but we still had enough time to go to the
children's mission. The director of the mission, Bill, was happy to
see us but that's probably because him and Steve were pals back in
college and probably also because he knew Steve wasn't going to leave
without handing over some deneiro for the mission. It was very
depressing to see how many kids were there. While we sat there and
talked to Bill, we started noticing there was one kid who was sitting
off to the side who wasn't really playing around with any of the
other kids. It turned out the boy was deaf. Bill said the boy lost
his hearing a few years ago as the result of some kind of sickness
that a lot of the children in the mission came down with. Steve went
to go sit with the kid, and the kid knew sign language, although he
had different signs for some things so maybe sign language varies
from country to country just like spoken language does. Anyway, Steve
was signing with him for a while and one of the women who worked at
the mission was nice enough to watch them and translate for me even
though it freaked her out to see what Steve and the kid were talking
about. It actually made her angry at first, but I'll explain the
reason for that too.

Steve was signing with the kid, asking him questions like how he lost
his hearing and could he hear anything at all and things like that,
and the boy said he couldn't hear much at all, not like he could hear
before he lost his hearing, that he could only feel sounds, not hear
them. (which is common for deaf people...my cousin can feel the
sounds in music but can't hear anything at all) Then Steve asked the
kid if he could help him hear again would he want that. The woman who
was translating kept asking me "why is your friend saying these
things? what is he talking about?" I told her to just watch and keep
translating for me. The boy asked Steve if he was a doctor and Steve
told him no, not really (I don't think a PhD counts in this case. ;-)
But the boy said sure he would want to hear again. (well, duh, of
course he would want to hear again, but you know Steve wasn't going
to do anything without asking him first) So Steve explained to the
boy what he was going to do, and the whole time he was talking to the
kid the woman next to me was freaking out trying to get Bill to stop
the whole thing because she said Steve was being totally cruel
to "give the boy false hopes" like that. Steve sat in front of the
boy and told the boy to hold onto his hands and to squeeze his left
hand or right hand when he could hear something out of the left ear
or right ear. He told the boy it might take a long time, not just a
minute or two, and he also told the boy it might hurt, like pinpricks
inside his ears, or like the pins-and-needles feeling you get in your
foot when your foot falls asleep and then you try to move it again,
but I don't know if it hurt the boy while it happened or not. (he
didn't act like it hurt when it happened.) The woman was really mad
by that time. She was tugging on Bill's arm telling him to stop Steve
from teasing the kid. I tried to explain to her that he wasn't
teasing but she didn't believe me.

Now I haven't seen Steve do any healing work since I started studying
direct energy work and started learning how to watch the energy flows
and things like that, which I've only started studying in the past
year, so this was the first time I got to see that happen. I got to
watch a healing take place and actually try to follow the energy
flows. (except Steve kept blocking my connection on purpose...Mike,
maybe you can tell me about a better way to watch this sort of thing
while it's happening without getting too "close" magically speaking)
But anyway, after watching him I decided you're completely right.
It's freaky to watch. It's not anything like the energy work Erik
does or like what Rob does or even like what Kristen does. I couldn't
even keep track of it. Maybe someone more experienced like Kristen or
Mike would've been able to keep track of what he was doing but I
couldn't keep up. It was all going way too fast for me to follow
everything that was going on. One thing I did figure out, which I
sort of knew already, is basically screw the whole concept of sending
a big flow of energy into someone. It wasn't anything like that at
all. It was teeny tiny little flows and I could hardly keep track of
them. After a while the kid started to squeeze Steve's hand, then a
little bit later he started to squeeze both of Steve's hands, and
eventually the boy started yanking on Steve's hands like crazy. Then
he started hollering and whooping and Bill and the woman ran over to
where they were sitting on the ground. The boy was making all kinds
of noise and he was having trouble with speaking, I guess because he
hadn't spoken much in a few years, but he was hearing what Bill was
saying to him. I got a big kick out of watching how excited he was
and watching how the woman kept trying to sign words to him and he
kept pushing her hands away and trying to get her to talk to him out
loud, and he was answering their questions with words, trying to get
used to saying words out loud again, instead of signing answers back
to them. He was having trouble annunciating so he kept stopping to
say the same word a few times in a row to make sure he was saying it
right.

Steve thought that would be a good time to leave, before we had to
sit there and answer a lot of questions that would've taken all night
to explain, so we ducked out of there pretty quick after that. But
here's the best part...I got the whole freakin thing on video. (bless
you buddy for letting me take your camera.) Afterward when Steve saw
me holding the camera he asked me "so how much of that did you get on
tape?" and I told him "every minute, my friend, every single minute"
(hee hee hee) and he told me he wanted me to rewind the tape back to
the beginning so we could tape over it tomorrow. I told him he was
crazy if he thought I was going to tape over that. I don't know why
he's got to be that way about it. He says there's nothing secret
about magic or energy work then he turns around and tells me to tape
over what's probably the only video of him ever doing any healing
work or any other kind of magic for that matter. I know he thinks
those kinds of videos are basically a way of people showing off with
working magic and is something only the new agers and commercialized
fluffies do, not serious mages, but he's loony if he thinks I'm
taping over it. I'm going to secretly pocket this tape and pop
another one in the camera and tell him "sure, I taped over it"...of
course he'll hear about this email when we get back and I'll catch
some flack for it then, but I'll deal with that when the time
comes. :-)

You can post this to the RFM list too if you want since some of the
people there might want to read about healing. Just don't go editing
my bad grammar or anything like that. ;-) Well, that's all I have
time for. We have to go to sleep for the night so we can wake up
before dawn. There are two guys from Australia here in the same
hotel. I think they said they're from Perth. We met them in the
restaurant tonight and they're hiking the same trail we're hiking, so
we're going to head out with them in the morning.

I don't know how accurate that story may be, but just wanted to let you know that I've heard stories about people's lack of hearing being cured.

Here's the address of the Yahoo Group where it was posted:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ritualfreemagick/

It was an older Message, number 963.  In case you wanna go there and ask the person who posted it some questions regarding what he claimed to have seen happen.

I too have some hearing problems, so this is something that interests me.  Let me know if you find out any helpful info.

Hi all.  Just read the very interesting topic of healing eyesight with energy, and was wondering if anyone had any experience with healing hearing with energy?  I have had very poor hearing for many, many years.  My mother thinks it was from when I was a child I had a very bad ear infection and she didn't take me to the doctor until the pain became unbearable.  I, however, think it was from listening to music (with and without headphones) at super-loud volumes.

Psychologically, it could also be a result of not wanting to listen to my father's B.S.  Also, he would always say, "Whatever I tell you goes in one ear and out the other."  And I taught myself to "tune out" when he was in "lecturing mode".

Whether it was one or all of the above mentioned causes, the result is the same:  I'm 50% deaf in both ears.  Funny thing, now that I think about this... (and this is not just me):  A few years ago I purchased hearing aids, and found that my "silent world" had suddenly become a "noisy world", and it really got on my nerves!  It seems that many people who get hearing aids dislike this "noisy world" and prefer their quiet one.  Sounds like something psychological, doesn't it? (I've always been the "solitary and introspective" type person).

With regards to using energy:  Would it be better to try to use my hands over my ears, using my arms as "conduits", like in "Healing with the Heart"?  Or would it be better to move the energy along inner chakras directly to the ears?

Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

Peace and Love,
Targa
