Help with Healing Myself

I'll keep my long winded responce short ( I'll save it for later [;)] , and there are additions to below)

There are quite a bit of visualizations you can do.  One of the easier ones is to picture yourself how you want to be.  Burn that image in your mind.  When doing your energy work, superimpose that image over you current physical image.  Them imagine the old image morphing into the one you want(I'm sure you've seen picture morphing on TV sometime before).  This lets the energy go where you body needs it, instead of you trying to micro-manage it.  Not as fast as a specific healing, but much easier to impliment, and easier to do over time.  You can do this as you develop NEW, as every little bit helps.
There is a physical limitation upon how much light a human body can sustain. Interestingly, there is no limit on how much light a human vessel can generate. When fully enlightened you must instill your light in order to maintain its wisdom.

I second what Rastus said, that can be very powerful.  I also have a couple of ideas you might like to try, perhaps trying all of them in conjunction would be more beneficial than just trying one of them at a time:

1. As Rastus described above.  This imprints itself on the subconscious mind in a powerful way.

2. Affirmations, i.e. My muscles are healthy, I have a beautiful body, My energy body flows perfectly, I am in perfect physical health, etc.  This also imprints itself on the subconscious mind.  When using these type of affirmations you have to be careful how you word your statements; the subconscious mind has its own way of understanding things, ie if you mention blockages the subconscious can pick up on blockages and therefore create more, also saying something along the lines of "My muscles are no longer wasting", the subconscious does not understand negatives and would only pick up on the words muscles & wasting, which obviously would have the reverse effect.

3. I know you meditate regularly, so ask your higher self for help whilst meditating.  It works for me!

All the above work on the principle of your subconscious mind/higher self being programmed to provide the desired result.  A thought in the conscious mind is just a thought.  If it is repeated often enough it then sinks into the subconscious mind.  Once in the subconscious mind it becomes manifest in the universe, and what you put into the universe is what you get back.  This can work equally in the reverse, eg A good example would be someone who has been psychologically abused.  They have been told so often that they are useless, stupid, etc that they end up believing it.  Then their job falls apart, they have trouble communicating, etc etc.

Finally, reading over my post, I am following my own advice!... Something I've been neglecting of late (the affirmations can be hard work because your logical brain argues back at you & tries to stop you in your tracks) but am starting again NOW [:)]

Thank you both for taking the time to respond.  Your advice is greatly appreciated, and will be taken on board.

Rastus - the construction crew starts work on Friday! - thank you so much.

Lots of warm love.

A bit of a long post - sorry - but I think it's all necessary.

Background

I have a disease called Muscular Dystrophy, a muscle-wasting disease.  It's hereditary.  I got it from my Father.  It's a progressive disease, and there is no cure.  I've been to see the "specialists" and decided they aren't for me.  It affects my arms, legs, back and neck.  It makes me very tired, as life itself can be an effort.  It's not life-threatening.

An Idea

I'd read somewhere that cancer patients have been known to heal themselves by imagining the good cells fighting the bad cells.  That's all I can remember, although I think it was more detailed.  Anyway, that really appealed to me.  I like the idea of healing yourself from within.  This has stayed with me for some years, although I've never really taken it further, or thought of it in the context of my disease and myself.

NEW

I have recently started Energy Body Development and moving my mobile awareness around.  While doing this, the "good cells vs bad cells" came back to me and I wondered if I could do something to help heal myself.

I want to get proficient at NEW first before I really take this on board, but in the meantime, I've been trying to think of what I could imagine to 'heal' my muscles.

And I haven't come up with anything yet.

I thought about a group of sewing women all stitching my muscles together, but my muscles aren't torn, they are being eaten away by something.

I thought about a pulsating thing right in the centre of my muscles radiating health and strength, but I'm not convinced.

My Mum thought about builders, building my muscles back together, but I need to repair the damaged muscles, not add on new muscle, because the damaged muscles will just go on deteriorating.

Your Help

If anyone has any ideas about how I might imagine myself healing my muscles, please post them here.  I can't say I'll use it, but if one comes along that makes me go "yes, why didn't I think of that!" then I'll be eternally grateful.

Any other advice would be graciously received too.

Thank you in advance. [:)]
