How do you pray for healing?

Hi all,

Do you ask God or other beings for healing, or do you command it in some way?

I'd like a bit more detail on this matter since there seem to be different views on this. I'd like to hear them all.

I've read more and more info about 'how the universe works' and I also red that your way of thinking pretty much defines your life (althouhg I'm not having enough energy to put this to practise yet). And if you send out a signal with a certain way of thinking, you WILL get an answer. At least, that's what I've red in a very interesting book by Anne Varnes, called 'Creating your Reality' (www.astralvoyage.com).

Is this basicly how praying for healing works? Because if it is, I see it as a 'command' and not as a request. A lot of Christians seem to ask for healing and thank God for the good things in their live. This is the way I was raised as well, but I'm ready for a new way of thinking.

Please tell me how you guys out there 'pray' for healing, I'm really interested  since I'm having big problems myself and would love to learn more about these matters, besides the NEW system, so I can heal myself instead of having to ask others. Thanks in advance.

Warm regards,

Robin

It goes a long way to spend time praying for other people. I can't explain why it works; I have just seen that the more I spend time and effort trying to help someone else, the more help I receive for my own benefit.

Hi Robin,

Hope you do not mind me moving your thread into Healing Discussions.

Hello EOL007, I've been learning a little bit about healing during this past few month. There are several ways for healing , but I've found a couple that might be of interest.

First of all, to harness a lot of energy and give healing you must have a lot of experience and be at it for several years.

God sends healing energies by its own through his messengers, so if you are able to recognize this energies you'll probably be able to use them somehow. Of course this is not very effective, especially if you're new at this.

Mmmm , in my opinion, healing energies are linked to budic energies (guiding), if you pay attention you may find a relation between both of them. So ill people are those who are "away" from this budic rays (and from the path). ...Well you may use your own wise energies and turn them into a healing-like flow to put this people in their path again. This will harmonize their chakras and energy blockages will clean up, and they'll get better.   If you practice enough you will learn to harness more and more energy and turn it into a healing flow that will work in more people every time; then you'll be able to command it.      ... of course this is only a view, an approach if you want.

Remember , God is not someone above you, is a being that is giving you his own life so you may use it in your own world.

Nay

Hmmmmmmmm.....YES!

I do ask God (the God I know and love) every night, to protect my family, friends and loved ones from harm..and to keep them on their path, OH..and to surround them in his divine white light.  I only ask for help/healing for myself when this is all done.

To get more personal, I ask Jeshua to help me in those aspects as well.  It's weird because I feel Jeshua can help me more readily than "God".  He seems to me to be the one whom holds "all things together" and really can't help with the outward stuff..lol.. does that make sense?

I know a lot of people don't believe in either, but this gives me comfort.  It gives me a base structure to live by.

HTH,

Hi Nay , beautiful words, they make great sense to me.

Reading some metaphysical books I've found a Master called Hillarion; he has a spiritual school of healing in the etheric realm above an island. This school has two great classrooms, one for giving help to those who ask for healing all over the world ; and another for teaching about healing.   I realize now that having the chance to go to this place is becoming one with God's path.

Hi daidaluz,

How wonderful for you that you feel taken to a growing interest in healing!

I'd rather take the view that healing is a natural talent and is inclusive rather than exclusive.... i. e. it is a gift which each and all of us can employ successful.

IMHO - in some cases years of personal experience might make someone appear to be a better healer, but then only so in the eyes of the blind!

No one is is a greater healer than anyone else. If someone claims otherwise then they are simply being driven self aggrandisement!

But then I'm no expert - so don't be listening to me

My 2 penneth worth.

Yours humbly,

Stephen

You are absolutely right , there are no greater healers than anyone else, but there are good patients and bad patients, that makes the difference.
Probably 30% of the healing process (at most) belongs to the healer practitioner, the rest is about how open or receptive is the patient to the "energies" needed.

You

Prayer is a request, not a demand.

You say 'please heal me -insert Deity/Force-' over and over and over and over again until you fall asleep.

Tom

According to the author of Conversations With God and the related books by the same author, God said we should use commands to ask for what we want.

The thing is  how open you really are to the energies you are requesting.

Anyone is capable of praying and asking, but how many do understand  what brings to own consciousness  that what is being asked ? !!.

In the other hand , in order to receive healing it is required to let go own fears and that is the great point because the ego does not want to loose its "pedestals".

Well , when you feel a "force" pressuring you over and over and over as may happen anywhere in life or social activities it's because fear is interfering to the chance to overcome that specific situation.

In my experience, prayer that results in healing comes from gratitude, love and firm faith that God can do anything.

And, yes, getting the ego out of the way, enabling you to think like God does, is also necessary.

It's more like a command, but it's a command that God agrees with, in fact,  the authority for it comes from Him.

When I was younger, I always prayed to God, Jesus or guardian angel. It never helped me at all, and I only received more suffering. For me the most effective way of healing is to pray to Lucifer or demon experienced in healing. I make such request only when I can't heal myself using NEW. I receive help nearly every time I ask, my request was refused only once, but this changed my life totally in a very positive way.

In the old testament it's clearly visible thad God does have an ego. Why would he want to control everything, punish people and be worshipped, and create "choosen nations"?

God in the old testament is depicted according to the popular perceptions of the time.  Those perceptions changed over time.  Look at the New Testament.  That's a completely different God!

In the New Testament, God is depicted to be the very essence of good and way beyond 'provincialism'.  "God is Love" is a statement in the gospel of John I think.

So, when I say "think like God does", that's the God I mean!  There's certainly no ego there, at least no human ego with all of its flaws.

I guess you have to go with whatever works for you and is reliable.  I'm sorry to hear that praying to God did nothing for you.  It seems to be such an individual thing.   Faith/belief seem to be the major factors.

I wonder if there is any absolute system that will work for everyone?  Can we find it by analyzing all of the different systems that people use and try to find the patterns?

Such system would not be based on any external entities, I've designed something like this, it can be used by nearly everyone who believes in some kind of metaphysics, and maybe even complete ateists, and people denying spirituality at all. I'll write about it later...
