I agree with Links Shadow, as I was healed  with Reiki for shoulder muscle pain  after an internet chat with a Reiki student or master, (to much mouse work on the comp'). It might be worth your while finding a course and learning the technique from  an expert.

Tom was the one who was giving free reiki attunements. I'm most sorry to say he is no longer on this site, though I can only hope he does return sometime. He was quite a skilled energy practitioner.

I'd give your local libraries a go. I've found many useful books in mine, on a good variety of metaphysics/new age subjects. They usually stick them in around the psychology & self help sections. A good free starting point & source of info.

I have a couple of links which will be useful to you as you can be attuned to just about any different form of Reiki between the 2 sites for free and get notes to go along with the attunements.

The above site is a collection of people who have been attuned to different forms of reiki and offer attunements for free, the boards they can answer most any question you have about reiki there.

This second site only offers an attunement to usui reiki and not much information on how to use it, but the attunement atleast in my opinion was much more affective that any that I got from the other site.  You can buy a reiki e-book for about $50 in the US.  I recommend this site for getting attuned and the other site for helpful information on how to use reiki.

Hey everyone -

I posted a topic a while ago about a tingling energy that I could channel, and a friendly fellow suggested that it could be Reiki energy.
I've thought about a this a lot since then, and even tried a few things, which included trying to heal a friend from far away by channeling energy to her, which seemed to help a bit.

Also... can Reiki be used to speed or heal physical wounds?
Or is it rstricted to healing energies and auras?
What all is possible with Reiki?

I was wondering if anybody offer me some tips to develop my abilities?
