Hi Ryu,

Having gone about learning Reiki myself, I have found the very best way is by being taught "hands on" by a reiki master. There really is no substitute.

As Reiki is first and foremost a hands on healing technique, books, websites, distance tunings, etc, can give you theory and knowledge, but  knowledge gained that way is only a shadow of the real practical benefit of being taught how to do it in person by a master.

Look around your area for a Reiki master who can teach you. A true master will be willing, and if you find one who isn't, then they're betraying the essence of what reiki is all about. A true reki master is not just someone who sets out to develop their own healing practice, but someone who is there to help teach and lead others to become masters.
