I do not agree. I myself was a shy person and became charismatic (if I may so so myself) But threwout my whole life I was happy o talk to other people. I believe that this enjoyment of companionship is the basis of charisma. If you realy liek talking to other people you do it more then the average person or you "produce" yourself more when you talk. Another thing needed for charisma is inteligence. I have never met a person who was truly charismatic and stupid. Those who do not have sufficient inteligenc simply become loudmouths. They annoy more then enetertain. Humor is another skill that a charismatic person may poses but I dont think that it is nececery. I say humor is a skill becouse that is exactly what it is. It is a learned thing. I myself was not that funny but then I started watching ComedyCentral stand up and I simply stole much of the material that those comics used[|)][]. Then using what I have learned I could create my own "skits" (I do not say that I am realy funny, but I am funnyer then I was when I was young) Humor is a way of thinking and one can learn how to think. Charisma is more a way of being caused by a way of thinking. That is also learnable. But one has to posses neccecery inteligenc to lear those things. I dont know what is the IQ that is needed to be capable of being charismatic but then again noone knows.

By being respectful of the personality of man. Humor is one key to charisma.  But how about being humorous about the person?

What is the difference between ridicule and humor?

Ridicule is more insidious...it is mocking a person as the purpose of  making the mocker feel superior.

True humor makes everyone feel better about themselves and other people.
