Okay let try and be more clear. Im saying If we are ALIVE before we are (born) humans and we are ALIVE after we die. Doesnt that say we Know what is happing here on E'arth and we already know what can be learned here, or what we should do. Doesnt that say that we know what we are doing here but cant remember. so im saying no matter what your doing in life you are fullfilling what the meaning of life is. THE MEANING OF LIFE IS LIFE. does that help any?

okay think of the most hanidcapped person you can think of. NOW that person should be able to achieve the GOAL or GOALS of the meaning of life. So whatever that is it has to also be attainable everyone else. So what could this person achieve? In whatever simple life you could think of there has to be the MEANING OF LIFE in there somewhere, what ever the meaning of life is has to be personal but at the same time widespread. The meaning of life HAS to be something we can all achieve. so something some where in all our lifes is the moment/s of the meaning of life or the reason why we are here. so we all must see what it is in others but we dont know that is the/a meaning of life goal. That could be a reson we dont remember why were here, cause the meaning of life is so simple relies on us not remembering. why we are here. Its is simply right in front of us. IM saying in part the ANSWER to THE meaning of life is to live life.
so what do we do with the ANSWER to the meaning of our life is what i want to know.

I want to also suggest taking a look at the website posted by bomohwkl. The book is by Thomas J. Chalko and, as was said, is entitled The Freedom of Choice.  It's only 128 pages long, but contains the author's position on the origin and purpose of the universe. It is a very important and worthwhile work.

i suppose you believe we have higher selves, right warlock? if not, then you're at a strange place, considering this board is based on astral projection and our higher selves and metaphysical topics, of which the idea of a soul is very important to. supposing that you believe that we have souls or at least higher bodies of some sort, how do you think those came about through evolution? mankind has never been so spiritual as to evolve such higher bodies without needing some aid or assistance. it is rare that a man even ventures to their highest known bodies, so it would be senseless to evolve those types of things if there was no important need or use for them.

I hear what you are saying, although I think you should look into the option of using capitalization and a spell checker...just kidding (I'm an English major and while I definetly don't use proper English here in the forum, I can't help but cringe when I see no capitals, etc...but I am trying to get over it! []

There is definetly something VITAL about the decisoins we make in this life and I believe we should always try to do what is "right" and "good" and virtuous.  In the end, however, God always knew what we are going to do, so there you have the great paradox...one of those catch-22's that defy our "dual" minds with a non-dual concept.

In the end it's a matter of choosing what is right and always seeking for that which is fullof light and love...and knowledge, for that will lead us to being able to create worlds and propagating the love and the light, like you mentioned...

Thinking about the meaning of life could quite possible distract you from fulfilling it. Maybe the huge MEANING OF LIFE thing is just to be who you are and damn well enjoy it[]. Moping around wondering what it is could prove useless - maybe there is no meaning. Life is just...life...it's just there...Because there had to be some form of life before our lives were created so what was the meaning of that Higher Being's life?? And who created that Higher Being and so forth? What was the MEANING of God's life??

Hurts my head too much.

I say let's just enjoy what we got now and live life (whatever it's meaning) to the full. If there is a meaning to life, I say it's to discover, learn, be a good person, and to have fun and enjoy things. That's not to say we experience some down-times, but we were meant to learn from those down-times to turn them into good times in the first place [].

I'd rather not just sit around meditating on topics that can't really be answered e.g. what is the meaning of life, why do I exist, etc etc.

It just is because it is, and there isn't much else there is to be discovered. Well maybe there is, but the human mind probably won't comprehend it. Unless we all live in a Matrix and are waiting for our minds to be freed [].

true. one thing though: why do you think that we probabley wont be able to understand it? things might be more simple than we think, and if you look towards the big complicated answer that you expect, you might skip over the smaller, simpler answer right in front of your face, the 'true' answer, because you don't see it. you might look at it and say, oh, it didnt take me long enough to find. it doesnt look that complicated. everything in the universe is too complicated to understand, so why would This be the answer?
but it just might be. I know, i like things to be more complicated too. it's easier to just say that human brains are stupid than to say that we have enough understanding. but think about it. the answer MIGHt be complicated, or it might NOT. but if the answe is right in front of your face but all you can see is the more complicated one miles ahead of you, then you'll spen years looking fro an answer that is practically on top of your nose.
i dont know if that's true, but its worth thinking about. [B)] come to think of it, i need to think about it more... i dont think many people (including myself) are quite used to looking right in front of them... its not neccesarrily a bad thing, it just wastes time or something.
i dunno. just something to ponder.

Its one thing to watch a jet fly by and a completely different thing to pilot one yourself. Why not stay on the ground and be content watching? What is the meaning of piloting a jet? What is the meaning of piloting a human?

Yes I believe that I have a soul that does not mean that there is a meaning of life.  You could build a human, molecule by molecule, until you are finished and that human may not be an animated being, but with a soul or an ectoplasmic energy within that human it would be animated therefore we must have souls. How does that explain that there is a meaning of life?  Religion says that there is a meaning of life, but do therefore not stick to that religion to fulfill the meaning of life that the religion tells to?  Saying that there is a meaning to life brings you comfort and arelization that you are not wasting your time when in actuallity believing that there is a menaing of life and wasting all your time tring to fulfill that meaning of life is a waste of time.

well here are just some thoughts i have and would like to post. i would like to say isn't the meaning of life right in front of you. i look at it like this. If we are energy and there's a good chance we have a conscious before we are human. with that idea or belief we would have knowledge of what earth is and the human experience would have for us. with that in mind what do we know for sure about humans are selfs. what do we keep with us are experiences and we are the masters of physical matter here on Earth. curiosity is something else all humans have or a thirst for knowledge and a sense to share these experiences and have fun(fun can be, being happy reading, or being mean to others).(which in a sense we know how to make areselfs manifest in this world) keeping that in mind, what does that say we must lack in levels, planes, whatever you want to call em?(e.g. deep feelings , physical contact, ....) what ever beliefs you have u can say you are here cause whatever level, plane,we come from have diffirent rules that don't lets us do what we/humans can do. Anyways ill post my beliefs in short i believe we are here to learn how to be creators are self and we are learning all the details of how physical interactions work so we can create worlds areselfs for us to play in. then again we all be here denying GOD and we we finally accept his love we die. he he (i think all gods are just energy we give them with are beliefs to become real. all comments are welcome please don't flame cause i know this post encompasses a lot in a lil bit.
