Why the physical exists

I never liked the idea that the physical world was some kind of glorified school, especially since most of my spiritual lessons came to me in dreams :? I always thought it was much more than that.

If it's true that our souls originate from another dimension or another universe, etc., and we experience that existence through dreams and projection, then it follows that our home universe is naturally mutable and unstable. Stability is created through focus and by the common association and alignment of entities' focus, a la Robert Bruce's theory of astral projection. The only thing we had that was immutable was our God source, but that source is infinitely simple and is nothing in terms of change. It allowed us to focus our energy, but change was still unstable.

Perhaps we grew quite advanced in focusing our energies and eventually fell in love with the idea of immutable change.

So we created the physical - with immutable laws of gravity, electromagnetism, and strong and weak atomic forces.

But we left it "open" on a strictly minor, quantum level, so that we could make subtle changes here and there. Jumps in electrons here and there led to a lightning bolt in a primordial soup of amino acids. A cosmic ray here lead to a genetic mutation there. We are dreaming ourselves taking part in this universe and we always have been. But for what?

Stable change allows us to use science to learn and take control of natural forces, in order to build and create with predictibility and reliability.

We created the physical in order to grow into a new kind of perfection, one that actually continued to change and would allow us to experience the full diversity of infinity, slowly with control and ease.

Where our God source is the simplicity of infinity, our technological singularity would be the complexity of infinity.

This seems like a reasonable explanation, assuming of course that the physical reality isn't the true reality and that we were all a bunch of god-souls before the creation of physical matter, which I don't very much agree with... but yeah, this beats the 'lesson' one, which is rather dumb.

Logic

I partially agree with you, but I believe that the physical is just an experiment for entertainments sake, I mean you would get bored among eternity wouldn't you?

And I believe that Darwins theory was proved wrong (the lightning in the pool of water thingy).
We are not truly lost, until we lose ourselves.

You

Hmm I'll have to look into the lightning thing, haven't heard of that.

We might get bored in the physical sometimes, but that's only because we're limited in what we can do, what we're allowed to do, and what we're willing to do. Astral existence seems unboring because it's abnormal, not the norm. Perhaps if one lived in an astral existence all the time, physical existence would be the exciting part, as you have proposed :)

Logic, I just saw a special on the Science Channel where a researcher was using electricity as a catalyst to form the primitive building blocks of life. They didn't go into much detail, unfortunately.

But you bring up an interesting point. Electricity need not be the only conceivable catalyst.

I think that the Earth is a crude form of reality, and that we exist here to bring and experience Reality at a new density (3D). 8)
