I'm trying to learn alchemy but I can't seem to find any good sites that actually teach me anything. I was hoping that you guys could teach me alchemy and just about every little thing about it. I want to learn every part of alchemy, spiritual, mental, etc. And can you try to teach me every little detail? If not just maybe everything you know. Anything would help me. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. And sorry if this is spam.
I already PMed you with them, but for NE1 else looking for this:
http://www.the-book-of-thoth.com/index.php
Is a good site all around, although it does have an obvious bent toward Crowley, it isn't all Thelema, so it won't drive non-Thelemites insane.
Another good one for looking at Alchemy interests:
http://www.alchemywebsite.com/
Those are good sites but alchemywebsite I've been to before and didn't really care for it that much. And the book of thoth I can't find the section of it on alchemy. And any tutoriaks any of you have please post them as I am desperate.
The Book of Thoth library directory:
http://www.the-book-of-thoth.com/modules.php?name=Sections
I couldn't find any worthwhile alchemy tutorials online that aren't pay for service things, sorry.

I guess that Mantak Chia's description of "microcosmic orbit" energywork system fits in the description of alchemical "transmutation" of different types of energy. PM me if you want me to send you this book by email.
there is a very good book that is available and relates and interprets some alchemy in terms that are relatively unveiled.
The True And Invisible Rosicrucian Order. By Paul Foster Case.
Those sites haven't really helped. And these online pdfs load to slow. Are there any more sites you reccomend. And that tao book you sent me, cacodemon, didn't help at all.
What kind of results are you trying to achieve? It seems almost as if you expected to post a request for alchemical knowledge here and be inundated with immediate enlightenment. It doesn't work that way, you have to find things through a LOT of personal study, research, and thought on your own ethos and psyche. This will lead you to what you want to change, and then that will lead to true alchemy. This isn't something that happens universally either, it is a different event for everyone, so we can't give you enlightenment even if we have attained it, although I doubt anyone here has quite attained that lofty goal yet.
I don't mean all of the above to sound rude, or anything, it is just simple fact. There is no single equation that leads to attainment of enlightenment. If it doesn't apply to what you are talking about, please, answer the question I started with as completely as you can, and don't be afraid of length, we are used to long posts around here. :)

Are you talking about types of alchemy? If so all types in existence if possible. But some pdf files on that book of thoth are to big and don't even download . But first off what will that tao pdf file teach me? Is it anything I need to know? And if you know of any more alchemy sites please post the links if they are free.
they WONT download??? Or do they just take too long...
why dont you just leave ur comp on while it loads and go do somethin else?
and how old are you? In my case, bc i'm 15 and still live with parents (who know nothin about this stuff) i would not be able to do that
I agree with Orion on this one. All of the PDFs on AlechemyWeb downloaded for me. Any in particular you want? I'd be more than happy to try sending them to you personally and see if they go any faster through email.
As for the Tao book, it helps with basic information. I haven't read it myself but that is the impression I get from other posts about it. Get in touch with the person who got it to you if you have questions on it.

Well, some of them take thirty minutes to download and when they finish its just one image in whats supposed to be a 556 page book. And I will not reveal my age. And its not alchemyweb I'm talking about. I'm talking about the book of thoth. But could you send as many as possible to me via e-mail? If so I'll PM you my e-mail address because I'm not sure if my account uses my yahoo, hotmail or gmail (the one I use).
EDIT: Just a question. But do I have to learn the history of alchemy? Because I want to learn the basics of alchemy before school starts up in three weeks.
PM me with a list of the books that you have seen and want to read and your email address and I will send them to you. I'll check them all first to see that they are pdfs.
The history of alchemy is mostly told through those who practiced it through the ages, which is also most of the textbooks, so you will likely be learning a little of both. The history isn't really important, though, as this is, as I have said before, a path to enlightenment, which is always a very personal thing, so the only history that really makes a damn bit of difference is the one you bring in, and you already know most of that one.

Would you mind telling us if you live with your parents? Point is, is your in high school or middle school then my suggestion would be a problem. Seems you in some school at least, so i guess nvm- plus the comp problems...
hope bloodsong is helpful!
Yes, I still live with my parents. And I'll PM the book names to you along with my e-mail address. And bloodsong has been very helpful, yes.
I'd recommend reading the theory section of Franz Bardon's "initiation into hermetics".
Also, try reading the Kybalion http://digital-daybook.com/eBooks/hermetic/001/
As for learning the basics of alchemy in 3 weeks before school starts - I don't think this will be possible !
Kind regards,
Mark

I just noticed you said something about a problem. What would that problem be exactly? But whats your suggestion? And thanks clandestino that site helps.
The suggestion I said was to leave your computer on and just wait for the long time it takes to download the ebooks/etc.
I live with my parents bc i'm in high school, and that WOULD NOT be an option. My parents know nothing about this or any other information hidden/not in the public eye, and i know they would close up to it bc it came upon them once, and they did not like it.
So I mean it is really tough to do this stuff with parents in the house: you cant just leave the computer on downloading certain things, or at least I cant even leave up astral pulse or anything, bc they would be like 'ned what r u looking at??? those ppl r whackos'
some ppl's parents DO support this, but usually its not the case. hopefully it is for you though.
Thats how my parents would act if they knew about this. But sadly they don't even know about my practicing alchemy. And I'm not sure if I'll tell them because they don't support it and they want everyone in the family to go to heaven. But if I don't invoke satan will it be a sin if this involves powers from spiritual powers? And would it be a sin if I do it for good and in the name of God?
Dude, basically most parents have been conditioned to the max to TOTALLY REJECT anything out of the ordinary, and your practices to them would probably seem like a childish dream of doing magic.
Dont tell them!!! I cant wait till i go to college bc i will have my own dorm and freedom of space, to put things about what i follow on the book shelf!
But for now, the bottom part of a drawer will have to do :(
I wouldnt risk anything. It's too bad they are religious.
QuoteIts too bad they are religious
Religion is not the enemy here. Closed mindedness due to how religion is interpreted is where the problem arises. Unfortunately, today, that amounts to about the same thing.
To assuage any fears about this being against the will of God (however you choose to accept that label), one must be clear about why one is following the path chosen. Are you practicing spiritual alchemy in a hope of gaining power that can help you subdue your problems? If so, that would not only be against the will of God in a Christian sense, but would also very possibly result in nothing for your efforts. A part of your higher mind, or possibly a higher power would prevent the necessary coagulation's to take place.
If, one the other hand, you are doing this from the thought that "we are made in God's image" applies not to our bodily shell, but to the way our souls are built, and doing alchemy to get to better acquaint yourself with your soul, and, by the principle of "As Above, So Below", to know God better, that would not be against the Will. You are working to better yourself, not to gain empty status.
At least, that is my outlook, take it as you will. Just remember, the Art of Alchemy is one of the purest of the Hermetic arts, and Hermeticism is one of the main tenets of the Freemasons and the Rosicrucians, both of which are very active in getting new recruits from the Roman Catholic Church, at least where I live!

Well when I think of religioun, i think of closed minded people. Its obvious that religion induces closed-mindedness.
Closed mindedness is an enemy everywhere, but one of its main supporters is religion, thats why i said 'it is too bad the are religious' because it would make them more closed minded.
338... are you doing alchemy for the reason bloodsong mentioned? It does not seem like it, but that you are doing it because it is very interesting and you want to.. just do it.. but please explain.
Orion,
I agree that closed-mindedness is the enemy, but a blanket statement that all religion induces closed-mindedness is, well, very close-minded. Take for instance Hindu. When the first missionaries went to India and preached the gospels of Jesus to the priests of those temples, they found a very open community of priests who greatly agreed with those teachings and found them to be well thought out. Imagine the horror of those missionaries when later they came back to find the same priests, operating the same temples, with the same images of the same gods, and Jesus' likeness added in!
To say the caste of priests of a religion is non-religious is very much non intuitive. To say those priests were close-minded is stupid. I would agree that the majority of CRISTIAN religions preach a doctrine of close-mindedness, but not all Christian religions, and definitely not all religions!
To those who wish to take issue with the above statement about Hindu temples' reaction to Christian missionaries, I got the information from The Complete Book of Spells, Ceremonies, and Magic by Migene Gonzalez-Wippler. Her credentials include a degree in anthropology from University of Puerto Rico and Columbia. If you take issues with those statements, please provide your credentials.

I just want to practice alchemy because its interesting. And I just want to learn and practice it. Mainly spiritual alchemy though to get closer to God. Its just incredibly interesting to me.
Yes, that's why I do elemental magick. I know whatcha mean its just soo amazing that WE can do something that used to seem impossible :).
Yeah its weird to know you can do things you thought were impossible, but satisfying since you can make things go it your favor. But on the subject of alchemy. Do transmutation circles exist? If so how do I make them to do things like move the earth? And thanks for the book of thoth link. I downloaded an alchemy book from there that I'm slowly reading.
A lot of things that are referred to in alchemy are symbolic. The Philosopher's Stone, for example, is usually reference to a state of being. Creating the philosopher's stone is also known as "gaining knowledge and conversation of your holy guardian angel", contacting your higher self, etc. There is also the theory that it is possible to make an actual "stone" that will do this, but all the alchemists I know that I take seriously from their experiences, believe it to be metaphorical.
Hence, "moving the Earth" and other such achievements are likely to be closer to metaphor about the state of mind that you should be in after a successful completion of the process. Of course, all of these processes are just steps in a much larger process, so don't get carried away with the idea that you have done any grand achievement until you have proof positive of something higher than anyone knows about.
Don't think that made much sense to even me, but the truth is in there somewhere. I think. Sleep deprivation sux.

I have one last question. Would it help any if I learn physics then alchemy? But does knowing physics affect alchemy at all? Please answer before I spend hours a day trying to learn physics.
www.subtleenergies.com - ormus section. IMO this is one of the the true roots of alchemy. Some basis in atomic physics may is useful in understanding much of where its coming from but it is not critical, since we lack much of the theoretical basis for this stuff lacking. But a general understanding of the nature of the atom and their constituent parts should suffice to glean some idea of the concepts involved.
