definitely correct. crystal quartz are my favorite.
try putting it under your pillow and chant before you fall asleep on having a dream on your past life. of course i thought there maybe something you have to sprinkle on your pillow also, its been awhile since i have done that one. anyway that is one example of just how damn effective those things(quartz) are

I'd suggest sleeping with one if you try this spell. if not like i said put it under your head, lol alittle uncomfortable, jk can you imagine sleeping with a rock under your head, ooouuch!

How would you implement a crystal into spellwork. I have a huge crystal generator but have never really used it for metaphysical purposes. I guess I might now.

I heard if "programmed" right (charged with personal power if you have questions just pm me) quartz can subsitute perfectly for any stone or purpose. I thought that was the neatest property

Yes i have had a weird relationship with crystals in general my whole life. But in particular the one i wish i could go back to is this:  I purchased a nice sized (about as big as an extended hand) quartz "prosperity" crystal. it had some malachite occlusions within it too.  I inhaled some cannibis smoke and sat down to get to know this crystal, not expecting anything, not knowing where to focus, I was knew, but i expected something to happen.  Immediately memories of another scary cannibis experience of mine that happened when i was a lot younger came to mind, i recalled the sensations it gave

here i find it necessary to account for the first experience .  at a hotel convention with friends.  second time smoking.  went down hall to go to rave party.  turned around and felt like i was falling in hole, started fighting with my friend matrix style and i suddenly became aware it really was in a frame by frame reality awareness.  I was somehow connected with everything, of course being a child at the time, i panicked and became inwardly reflected, closing off from the rest of the world, scared.

earlier i was becoming a huge social epicenter and loving it.  like a fun and love magnet. and ive always been sheltered and shy.

anyways. the rest of the night i spent in the hotel room dying from the over-exposure to everything i had the power over.

back to the crystal, recounting all this in my mind( i recount everything in my mind, i dont ever live, not true, i live very few moments purely)  suddenly i remembered the sinking feeling , i was in the sinking feeling, and the crystal amplified this terrific effect 100x over.  i couldnt move, well i could, but i was scared to, to control this body, and be in this world, that I was IN.  everything is new there, and scary, yet fear is not real, so why does it control me.  i flew up ppaced around my room like a good democracy trance controlled alien monkey hybrid and promised myself something that didnt make sense

my life is also excrement now, i dont exist

I'm new to the business of using stones in this way, but I found what looks like a rather large geode of milky quartz while walking in the woods near town.I wans't sure if it was one at first, but then I noticed that dirt was packed into fissures in the rock where crystal is embedded.I poured water into one end of the rock, & it came out the other side,where another fissure is.

It's still in one piece.Can I use this type of quartz for anything?

Milky quartz is white, the color caused by vapour or water inside the crystal structure.

Crystals are only as powerful as you make them. No rocks hold power of their own. You can infuse them with the power of your choice though, and some are better than others. Quartz works as good as any I suppose. But honestly, there's no reason you couldn't use any other piece of stone just as effectivly if you know what you are doing!

Yes crystals are amplifiers and can be infused with energy as well. I've read there is also some benefit in working with unpolished crystals too. There is a nice book that some of you may already know about, its called: The Crystal Bible - A Definitive Guide to Crystals by Judy Hall.

I'd like to second Nick's thoughts.
The Crystal Bible is a good practical easy to read guide with a lot of useful no-nonsense info.

I would like to say that some crystals do have intrinsic energies beyond those energies that they amplify or alter. Most people who have worked with crystals for a while, especially for healing, are aware of the "spirits" that reside in many crystals.

I first started using crystal magick last year when I had really intense headaches. My class ring's stone is crystal quartz and I always wondered why I could feel some kind of tingling sensation from it when I wore it. When I started reading up on the relationship between crystals and magick I began using it for healing and from then on, every time I wore my ring while I had a headache, the pain would either dampen, or fade away to nothing.

Once earlier this year I used my sapphire ring and did a spell to enhance my dreams. I wore it while I slept. It was the first time I had done this. I think it pretty much back-fired because I had a semi-lucid nightmare which ended in me drowning and I was holding my breath underwater in my dream only to wake up gasping for air because I was really holding my breath. So it worked, but I was hoping to have a good dream. Not bad.
