A group project is called an egregore.
I would suggest making sure that the group you work with is sufficiently advanced.
The traditional psychic development pre requisites included scrying and a development that allowed contact with the guardian angel usually in a ritual like the Abramelin. It doesn't have to be that particular ritual but it does need to be done.
Doing the pre requisite work allows you to have control over the egregore. Lack of control can have physical reprocussions on those whose energy went into making it.
