well  i could be considered to some a noob, newbm however u want to spell it. i stick with the whole psi balls, etc.. gang. but from what i know of magic, it shouldn't be messed around with, as with contacting the undead, because you may stir up something that you don't want, or can't handle, there are forces at work that i am sure the most learned of magcians don't know about, so i am jsut here to say be careful, don't get hurt with trying some new thing that you think will make u special, also jsut saying hello, like in the title of my topic!

Magic, from one point of view, is simply the process of harnessing the forces of nature in ways that aren't commonly understood.

As such, it would be foolish to assume that there is no risk involved. During our day-to-day lives, we place ourselves in risky situations all the time, the difference being that we can confidently assess the risk. When undertaking any activity that involves an unknown risk, it is wise to proceed cautiously. The same commonsense advice applies to magic.

With regard to psi-balls / manga etc, I would suggest that the Astralpulse isn't really the right forum for that kind of thing......There are plenty of existing forums that talk specifically about "psi-balls". But if you are looking for discussions on OBE, religion, metaphysical concepts, magic, dreams etc, then you are in the right place !!!

There's nothing wrong with a psi ball --- its just a compression of psi or ki or chi or whatever you want to call it into a ball, it isn't too hard to do but its pointles. People who tell you its nonsense but claim to be some authority on magick obviously do not even understand the most basic concepts of harnessing and directing of acausal forces.
Remember to be an individual with your own, indepenant, free thoughts and will! Don't swallow everything everyone tells you. It's best to learn from experiences. The most common thing you're going to get is 'Do not send out harmfyl forces! twill come back to ye three fold! tis the law of the systers of karma!'. You're obviously not going to swallow everything a christian fundie throws in your face so apply the same logic to mainstream magickal paths -- like wicca. They might parade themselves as an infallible guide to magick -- and just everything in general    but there are many other paths and you have the choice of which you want to follow. You might also notice that free thinking and associated attitudes are quickly labelled 'chaos magick', which is made out to be an evil and aweful thing by those trying to force their beleifs down your throat.
Listen to those who tell you *how* rather then why or what to beleive.

Hi gental savage. I personally am wondering why you think magic is bad? Also why you think it can only be used to contact undead beings. And why you feel it necessary to warn off other people from magic without any experience of it.

It seems to me, and I could fully be wrong here, you were probably raised in a strict Christian house where it was taken for granted that "magic" was the devils work. This seems even more at odds since you do the whole psi ball thing. I've been playing with psi balls for a long time. However, i did not know that is what they were called till recently, but it is very easy to infuse an idea into a psi ball and send that to someone else. Next time you're in a crowd make a psi ball and impress on it the concept of sneezing then send it at someone and more often then not they will sneeze. That is magic! Magic is just changing the world with out physical action. A prayer that manifests is magic. You can make magic without contacting any "spirits" good or bad.

yeah sorry, but jsut from what i haev heard that people can get hurt easily. and to reply to clandestino, i said psi balls etc..., which includes controlling the forces of the mind, and psi balls and real, so don jsut say that its a dbz thing that ppl try to do, db is the worst anime anyways so who cares. but still i know i shouldn't have wrote this, i know nothign about this, but it jsut seems to me to be bad. adn i am all for contacting the dead, i think ti would eb fun, but it would probably scare the excrement outta me, but it would be nice to talk to my mom, well u never know.

i was not raised in a catholic house, i am atheist, and could care less what people who let some misguided idea govern what they think, think about magic, i just hear it from people, and draw my own colclusions, but what u said about magic being the ability to change the world put it in perspective.

I find the easiest magic is the magic of awe. Go to the woods or some other outdoor place. Some where with a nice view. Then just look. Look at the trees or the rocks or the sky. Try to feel how complex they are until you are over whelmed with the power and complexity of the universe. Think about how amazing that some process that started 13billion years ago can end up with a tree. This magic ritual fills me with love, awe, and curiosity to know more. It may work in a similar way for you too.
