there was an article on spiritonline.com about this

you visualize a sphere (white)around you for 10-20 minutes then starts to fade into the sorundings with you...

Rastus

There are a number of variations, including speeding on highways and not getting caught!  The downside is people will pull out in front of you because they "didn't see you".  Be careful what you weave, and don't forget to undo something like that.
There is a physical limitation upon how much light a human body can sustain. Interestingly, there is no limit on how much light a human vessel can generate. When fully enlightened you must instill your light in order to maintain its wisdom.

At the moment it's not an issue since I don't know how to do it.  It would definitely be useful though, especially at clubs with the sleazy "Hey baby" kinda creeps.

Tisha

I do it all the time . . . almost instinctively.

Trouble is, if you go to a club or watering hole and your "shields are up" a-la Star Trek, you're not going to attract ANYONE.

Shapeshifting is a gift and a skill which includes becoming "invisible."   It takes a certain detachment.  Meaning, you must lose your attachment to your ideas about yourself (what you look like, who you're like) so you may change your shape.

How you dress and wear your hair can go a long way towards changing your shape or becoming invisible; don't underestimate these crucial tools.  Practice with the "props" while you work on developing detachment . . .

Rastus mentioned people pulling out in front of you, that happens alot to me!  And while in stores and whatnots, even though there is plenty of room, people seem to want to walk right into me, I have to step out of the way..  I guess it could be that I'm not a very imposing person, but sheesh...[:P]

Thank you for your replies, everyone.  Now how do *you* actually do it?

Hahaha [:D] For me, I have no idea!  It is just something that started happening too many times to ignore, around 8yrs ago.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

yep, white light will make you unnoticed

Rastus

For speeding:  I weave a picture of blank road, 'nothing there', something 'over there'.  The premise is to distract the police officer from noticing you until you notice them and slow down.  Most ploice around here use lasers, which require 2 hands and concentration to use.

For the opposite, I picture my vehicle surrounded by 'purple/gold light', a beacon that says 'look at me, I'm here'.  I pulse it, like an emergency light.

To hide in a crowd, dissociate your mind.  Go blank.  Project that non-descript person of average hight and build wearing the same thing as everyone else.  The idea is to get them to pass over you, to not stop and focus their attention on you.  Of course to do this you can't dress outlandishly, like Tisah said, physical clothing is part of the discuise.

Wearing Lime Green Spandex and Orange spiked hair makes it difficult to hide at a classical music recital (but not a punk concert, so know your crowd!)

Rydel

you'd be shot if you wore green spandex to a punk concert. :P

Personally I do what darkheaven said, but I put a little more energy into it than just visualizing the white light. I feel it surrounding me, and then I sort of will myself to fade along with it until we (the white light and I) have faded.

Wearing Lime Green Spandex and Orange spiked hair - good ideea

well, the guy who wrote the article said that he is not a person that he passes unnoticed

bleah,bad english,sorry [B)]

UPDATE ...

he olso said that he was invisible untill phisical contact, and his voice was "invisible" too

Rastus

Practical Invisibility is about distracting the mind from percieving what's there.  It's about not noticing what's in front of you.  It shares attibutes with stage magic, in that people are looking elsewhere.

True invidibility, as in warping light to make yourself invisible to cameras, well, that's beyond your skillset. Mine and probably everyone else on this forum.  You could achieve the same affect with AP and manifestation, translate that into bi-location.  Again, your talking skillsets of the highest order, like Buddah/Jesus.  If you have those skills, then you also don't need to hide at a bar [;)]

Did it work the first time you tried Lola, or did you have to pracice alot? That's one energetic spell i'd like to learn. And right on Rastus, if you had Buddah/Christ skillsets you wouldn't be hanging out a bar anyway! (well, probably not)
If but we knew the power of our thoughts we would guard them more closely.

Actually, the blend-in-the-crowd trick will work just fine in those situations :)  Thanks for your trip, and everyone else's, too.  I have some things to try, now.

darkheaven

runLOLA could u say more about your experience with that spell?
thank you

narfellus

Interesting. I wonder how many people exhibit this "magical" ability and don't know it. They are for all intents invisible in a crowd and can't turn it off. Reminds me of an old old old Carol Burnett skit where she had the same problem; couldn't get orders in a restaurant, people always bumping into her, etc. Her friends could see her, but even then she was shoved to the background and easily forgotten. Rather sad actually.

darkheaven

runLOLA how invisible made u?

and how long u concentrated? "then I practiced it that day & night.."

Invisibility
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is a spell to make you less noticeable, this spell may not work for some
people depending on experience.
First of all, visualize a white or black light (which ever one is more
suitable) and visualize yourself inside that light, now picture that light
getting blurry and taking in the colors of the objects around you, now see
yourself getting blurry or being sucked into the light and the light taking
the form of the objects around you until you cannot see the light. your eyes
must be closed for you to do this.

If is it truth that someone can get invisible, i think that the most easy way its to confuse their minds.

Someone with telepathy powers can do it because will mix up the mind of the target and will say, to its subcousncious: "You [the other person] are not seeing me. No one is here. If you look in this directio you wont notice my presence".

I think that for people with a srong telepath power this may work. BAsicaly its like hypnosis, not invisibility at all.

Now, talking about more real things (i mean: things that science can proof). At some time ago i learn about how to "hide yourself in shadows". I thought that this was a stupid thing, no one can hide in shadows but indeed you can do it.

I made this experiment with a friend: we were in a garden (a little big) with some trees and bushs. The idea was to see how much can people be distracted.

So, one of us started to pretend that it was a guard, a person, anyone just walking through a given path, and the other one was the thief: it must hidden tself somewhere in the bushs or trees. The idea was to see if the "guard" [that was not searching for anyone; he was doing just a watch] could detect the "thief".

Well, the results were very interesting. We make the experiement at night, having the lights of the street as the only illumination (quiet good ilumination). When i was the "thief"  i would dress black cloths and hide myself in stupid places like the shadow of a tree. I remember that i was lay down in the shadow of a tree and my friend (pretending that was a guard that didnt knew nothing about this thief: he was just "walking around without knowing where i was) passed just at a few inches of my body and he didnt saw me!

I mean, if you hide yoursefl in the most syupid places at night, with little ilumination, people will not see you because their brains are distracted and the darkness will help a lot. You could try this game with some friends. I can explain you later the details of the "game" if you want.
I love you!

When I was a kid in school, a friend had a peculiar ability to become "invisible."  Somehow he was able to make people's eyes slide right over him so they didn't notice him.  This must have been really handy when he forgot to do the assigned reading.  He often had to jump up and say, "Hey, I'm right here!" when the teachers asked who was missing in class.

I'd like to know how he did this.  Do any of you have similar tricks?  Please share if so, and explain how you did it.

Hammish

I totally have this ability. I managed to avoid being asked a single question is school for three years. as long as you don't sneeze it works a treat.

you don't sit at the back, heck I sit right at the front but middles good too. You don't look too interested nor too bored. you don't look left or right but forward. you don't slump on the desk or sit bolt upright. and you definitely do not talk. If you do everything to a sort of middle degree nobody notices you.
and when I say I was sitting on front of the teacher, I mean about two metres away, it doesn't really matter that I'm right in the line of sight.

I think it's just a trick.

Teh

ive been doing this for years too. unintentionally. i rarely ever get asked questions in school (i sit at the front in alot of lessons too), in busy shopping areas and in school too i have to dart around everyone otherwise they just walk straight into me.

as far as i know, its just a technique people subconciously learn without realising it: how to be in the middle like hammish said. But perhaps theres something more to it, sometimes people have just walked right into me and still completley ignored my presence.

more things to note if youre trying to do this - avoid eye contact at all times, and look ahead in that way where you arent actually looking/focusing on anything in particular (but dont look bored if its a lesson)

edit - looking down at the floor when walking seems to help too i think

-Alex-

Just a stupid question here. (Please, no one post, "There is no such thing as a stupid question") Is this 'Invisibility' you have achieved something that requires you to be stationary? Or can you move, it's just about how you move? (i.e. Walking calmy as opposed to Jumping around.)

How to become invisible:

This works especially well if you are trying to be invisible around women.

1.  Don't take a shower for a couple of days.  Let your face break out.

2.  Wear something that is outdated for a couple a years.

3.  Always look down

4.  Kind of mumble a lot

5.  Be average or below in everything you do

Sorry I am not to good at being invisible, I prefer to be center stage.  The great thing about this technique is even if they do see you, you will be forgotten the moment you pass.
