I'm going to make a wish book, which basically involves me keeping a book and writing down my wishes either as a little note ("I wish I could..." and then say what you wish for*) and so on or as a poem, short story or lyrics.

Things seem to have a time and a place. Miracles. Chances coming your way that you have the option to take or to pass on, but you can only seem to grab them without slipping off long as you have been working and practicing hard enough to keep hold. (Practice and hard work is key, I think).

I don't know if writing the wishes down in this way will help them to come to life or not, but it would be good at keeping them alive in me and helping me to follow my dreams... you also write down when any wishes come true.

But what I'm posting here for is this:

I want to put a little ritual into this book, and I wondered if you'd have any advice? Is there a good colour to use, a crystal, a herb, an essential oil, some words of power and so on.

Thank you :)

*Having written that, it seems odd as it goes against affirmations as you keep affirmations in the present, so I wonder if this new way would effect that?

A 'Wish Book', eh? Sounds like a cool idea.

As for the ritual, you can basically do anything. You can keep it short and simple (which seems appropriate for this kind of thing) or not. Whatever feels right (!). If you want to bless the book and what you write within you can surround it with positive energy and sprinkle a sweet smelling herb in and around it and say something like: "bless this book to become my guide in making all my wishes come true". This is just one option out of many, many more!

As for appropriate colors or whatnot, they can be anything you feel is "right" for what you're trying to accomplish. For example, if you did a whole page on things you want financially, you could use green colors on that page or gold or whatever says "money, wealth, etc." to you.

A book you might want to check out is Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain. It has some interesting ideas and techniques on getting the things you want.

I wish I was little bit taller,
I wish I was a baller,
I wish I had a girl who looked good
I would call her
I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat...

Thank you, I'll let you know how it goes once I've started it :)

hello,
I have started a wish book recently, it seems that if we put more focus in our desires, even writing them down, it will add energy to these things and thus attract them faster to us,..
so it is a great way to get the ball rolling in our desires, I have put some flowers in my book and made a wish insence which i use when I write in my wish book you can also make an herbal blend of wish powder to dust the book with and throw into the wind to spread your wishing energies....
