need help on binding runes

i wanted to bind a rune which could help me evoke a familiar or elemental to help me on my shamatic journey which i want to take. anyone know about runes?

i took some rune example from the German futhark and have these so far:

Naudhiz(need),Ehwas(horse),Berkano(birch goddess),Sowilo(sun),Perthro(dice or lot cup),Eihwas(yew tree).

i was going to create my own personal sigil(i think that's what they're called) & use it within a ritual to evoke a wind familiar (because i heard they are intelligent and wise). Am i going the right way???


-remember i have never participated in a ritual so the simplest & safest way is the way for me right now.

You are mixing a lot of systems.  What are your reasonings to do this?  Does it all make sense, or are you banking on chaos? 

My best advice at this point, choose a system to start with, do the basics, get familiar with it intil you can feel comfortable with more advanced workings, then do those workings, and feel free at that point to research other systems and add in parts that you feel a connection to. 

If you are looking to shamanic methods, I cannot help you past these universal points.  My best advice if you cannot find someone else on these forums, go to www.occultforums.com and ask around there for help.
