I've heard of people levitating accidentally in their sleep.  But they don't know how to do it on purpose.  What do you think of this?

If they're asleep then how do they know they did it?

I think if you're going to start levitating there is some work you'd need to do first.

You'd have to begin with techniques that develop telekinesis. I'm not able to move anything with my mind personally but I'm assuming heavier objects require a greater amount of concentration and development than do lighter.

Start with balloons perhaps as I saw earlier in the thread.

I don't practice these techniques myself as I am still partially scientific, there needs to be significant evidence of the existence of telekinesis for me to begin.

A friend and I were sitting in the living room a couple years ago, and we saw a shoe move like 2 inches across the floor.  There was nothing there that could possibly have moved the shoe, other than some unexplainable mysterious paranormal force.  that is enough to let me know that telekenisis and levitation is possible.  I believe that one day in the future, science will find the cause of these strange events and they won't be so awe inspiring anymore.

it is a trick. I have seen the revealing myself, and can completely remake the act.

There are two ways Criss does it.

Method 1:

Method one is called the "Balducci Levitation". It was invented by a magician named Balducci.

In this method, he does the Balducci levitation for the live audience, and gets the reaction recorded.
Either right after the audience leaves, or later on, Chris gets a rig out and lifts himself slowly of the ground
around 1 1/2 - 3 feet for the camera.

Method 2:

this is the method he uses to levitate up to objects such as boxes.
This method is a little harder to explain. Criss has a slit cut in the front of his jeans that runs up to his knee or so
that is fastened together with something that is easily moved.

Criss also has, running all the way from his lower back to under his ankle in his shoe, a rod or post of some sort.
All he does is face the box or chair, away from the audience of course, move his leg out of the slit, and slowly
place it on the box or chair. The post keeps his pants straight, and gives the illusion of his leg being there.
He then steps up with his foot, and puts his foot back in his shoe. He will then tremble as if he is going to fall
so that he can bend over and quickly refasten his pants.

Criss Angel is a fake... He's even admitted it before. As far as levitation goes I don't think it's possible since your physical body has limits. Just because it's possible to create magical matter with your physical body doesn't mean you can just float up to the sky.

I saw this video on a show two years ago and i have just stumbled upon it. As far as I remember the footage is pretty old.

My problems with that video:

He can't do it until it's dark out, he's wearing a large robe that can conceal harnesses, and you never see behind him. The guy with the camera at the side only captures the front half of his body except when he zooms in on his feet. If they REALLY wanted to document it, they would have circled around from all angels and heights, in the daytime. Unfortunately, he can only do it at night in front of trees. The fact that it's a ritual with a ring of fire and chanting is probably more of a stage act to make it feel more realistic. His collapse at the end reminds me of David Blaine (who also falsely levitates).

The filmakers can't lose because no one can prove it either way. Some people see a guy floating in the air, some people see the inconsistencies in the surroundings.

There's a lot of videos like this. None are convincing. Just because I believe that levitation is possible doesn't mean I'll accept lame evidence.

There is a girl from another forum I go to that experienced levitation.  This is what her post said:

"The past year I have been having a lot of dreams where I am either flying and/or can move things with my mind.
Anywho's few days ago I had another dream, this one was bizzare.

I was in this large building with a house inside it with trees and what-not, and at some point my boyfriend (in the dream whoever he is) is kidnapped by this group of weird looking solders. So i decide to rescue him only I (in the dream) could fly/levitate and can move things with my mind. The only thing is, this dream felt very real Undecided Also when I fly in the dreams like this one I get this cerain feeling, and only when I have that feeling can I fly (ie, if I cant get myself to truly believe I can fly and get this "light" feeling im my whole body, I cant fly)
I flew to the other side of the building where my boyfriend was being held and landed right in the middle of the group of the solders and began fighting with them, with my mind throwing them into trees and walls or slamming two of them together.
At some point I got cut on my shoulder, and felt the pain.
Eventually I grab my boyfriend and fly him out of there.
The dream ended as I flew to the top of the building's ceiling and was looking at a crack or something when (here is where it gets interesting) Shocked

I open my eyes (in real life) and realize im looking at my ceiling, only my nose is an inch from it and I put my hand on it to make sure it really was my ceiling Shocked, I realized im still holding the "lightness" feeling that I have in the dream that allows me to fly in the dream, but when I panicked that feeling went away and the next thing I know I slam onto my bed with a crash Shocked
My sheets were under me, half off the bed and my mom came in and asked me if I fell (which I did) but I told her no.
When I looked I realized I had a bleeding cut on my shoulder that wasn't there when I went to bed.  Undecided

Ive been rather reluctant to post this because I doubt anyone would believe me, but I swear I had to have actually be floating with my face to the ceiling (in fact I had cobwebs from the ceiling all over me Tongue -no I don't clean them)
I kind wish I hadn't panicked and lost the "feeling"


Now there are an butt LOAD of possibilities, either I was actually on my side facing the wall and THOUGHT I had fallen when I actually rolled over, but that doesn't explain the cobwebs from the ceiling on me.
I also thought that I may have actually still been dreaming, but I KNOW I was awake and had slammed back onto the bed.
I wish  had a camera or something on me while I was asleep because it would have SHOWN whether I was actually levitating in my sleep. Or....(im being brave with mentioning this one Undecided) Maybe i actually CAN levitate, but only while im asleep can I actually do it, and if thats true, had I not panicked, would I still have been in the air?

O know...you will all probably think im nuts and make fun of me. Roll Eyes

Or is there a phenomenon of "sleep flying" or whatever that I did not know happened.

Also theses dreams all stated when I began to awaken a few years back, so maybe its connected?

Buy the Criss Angel DVD and it shows you his levitation, he basically uses his leg to stand up to small things (as viewable on youtube) and for the other levitation such as building to building and in the park he uses very strong fishing line and his crew operate a lift system some way away, hence he keeps his feet together, to steady himself as the lnes run under his arms, though there is one levitation I don't know and that was the woman in the park. But I'll let you know once I discover the method.

Criss Angel is an extraordinary person in all ways and I draw a lot of inspiration from him. But the levitation seen in Mindfreak is nothing but a simple trick that anybody can do (at least the tv version)
He even sells the trick on DVD

That's the most stupidest thing i ever heard in my life.... Chris Angel is no Magician , nor does these crazy stunts.. There all fake and yeah he is a mind freak, he tricks your mind that everyone he does is real. All his stunts are either illusions or computer edited.

I didn't read the whole thread but i just wanted to clarrify that Chris Angel and all other stage or street magicians are fakes. I have purchased and learned alot of their tricks and i was disgusted at how simple they are to perform.

Another thing you need to know is that everyone you see around him are paid actors.  They are being paid to look surprised , amazed or even cry after the trick is performed.  I know i got fooled by their tricks at first but you can learn alot of them on Youtube if you search for magic trick tutorials and stuff like that or you can visit their websites and order DvDs that will teach you the tricks.

Now don't get me wrong, i still beleive in the supernatural but the supernatural that does exist cannot be used to impress your friends or at least not make a show at a party or stuff like that . As for levitation, if such thing is possible, it would require so much focus and concentration and that the only person who will ever be able to witness it is yourself . Having friends in the room with you who are simply expecting a show , will probably make any attempts fail.

Maybe one day our evolution will bring us to a point where we can levitate at will but i don't think i will live to see that day and i'm only 28 years old .

To be honest, i'll be happy when i can finaly achieve my first astral projection . I know it's possible to fly in astral projection so i'll be sattisfied with that .
