When I was a kid I had an aunt that did something remarkable! I had a wart on my index finger... she took a string and said something... dont remember... then tied the string in a knot and said, bury this in the ground and when it rots it will cause your wart to fall off. SURE ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!! wart fell off! anyone know of this practice? have another wart and want it gone naturally!!!!!
My guess?
It's called... you healed. :)

I concur with the belief system....
As a child, I was the wart remover of the family. I would rub a piece of onion on the warts, loop a string around the warts and tie the string in a knot while letting the string slip off the tops of the warts. I would then bury the onion and string out of sight of the person with the warts. I did this because my grandmother said I "had the power". And nobody argued with my grandmother.
Well, if you believed that I could remove the wart, the wart would be gone within 1 week. If you didn't believe that I could remove the wart, the wart would be gone in 2-3 weeks. My belief and confidence instilled in me by my grandmother was enought to make up for the lack of belief in others I guess.
That actually works for *anything* in this reality frame.
Generally, the accepted term for such a thing is a "miracle"... but you and I know better. ;)
When I was a boy my dad bought a wart off me. He gave me money for it. Told me it would work. It went away.
I dont know if they normally disapear on their own or not. Maybe I just had to believe it would go away.
