Monsolith, your sceptre should work the same way a wand does. As a focus of your WILL. The sceptre is in fact more of a symbol of sovereignty and authority.

I used a quartz crystal at the tip of my wand mounted in silver and attached to a silver hand grip by copper wire. Silver and copper are excellent 'conductors' of all sorts of energy. Btw the main part of my wand is made of 'bog oak'.

Hi all !

Today I'm willing to make a kind of scepter, what I'd call an "orb", but I dont know if this is a commonly accepted name for what I have in mind. I'm talking about a big glob mounted on a rod.

I had this idea some nights ago when I was thinking about having a magical tool that would help me to focus energy, and maybe to exchange it in some ways (like receiving energy from higher, and passing it down for healing purposes), and I immediately had in mind the picture of a priest with this particular scepter - or "orb" - well known if you're into RPG. But personally I have never heard any real information about this type of things.

I asked my guide. She told me this instrument was indeed a powerful tool that has always been related to the divine, that it was an excellent idea having one, and that I could just ask here for more information. She advised me the glob would be in crystal (or quartz, as less effective but cheaper), and the rod in "mother-of-pearl" (just found the word on google lol).

I dont really know how much it would cost. Anyway, I'm asking you guys all information you can give me on the subject, because I didnt find anything. I dont even know what to search, as words like "orb" or "scepter" lead me to informations that arent supposed to be real. I'd appreciate any help on the tool itself, the shape, the materials, the use, and its history, if indeed it has been used for some time.

Thanks for all
