I'm Tay, 45 soon.  I offer/share/teach Simplicity.  Not easy when complexity/dogma/belief-system attachment is the traditionally prefered way.  But hay, things have to change, it's the only Constant in the Universe. LOL   I love that line  

Currently there are two development circles I work in, sometimes teaching, always learning.  Isn't that the way, LOL  So many people forget that even the apparently lowliest drunk in the gutter is our teacher.

It's very nice to meet another Aussie in the ranks of A/P.

Welcome again to A/P.  This forum has the most dynamic energy anywhere, I jsut never know until I finish reading the posts  

Like you I am a teacher and a student.  My students never understand this at first, but eventually they figure it all out  

I have the rare pleasure to be married to a SoulMate that is also awakening, which makes us rather rare at this time (I know of 2 other couples, plus a twin flame couple on seperate continents with different spouses).

I am a Jack of All Trades, I work on a little bit of everything.  I tend to walk the path of the Mystic right now.  Spirit throws many people across my path, and I try and help as I am able (it's my free will choice to walk this path, it's that teacher in me).  The last few months my 'students' have taught me what I needed.  Between guides and teachers and students, it's a wonder I get any 3D work done

Very pleased to meet you. I've enjoyed reading your posts, and I'm really happy to see another lightworker joining our little community here.

Me, I'm a 38yo lightworker / mage - though I tend to shy away from brands, that is how the spirits address me so I'm not going to argue .

Like you I attend a development circle as well as a metaphysical college, studying and hoaning my skills of clairvoyance/sentience/audience (clairaudience being my strongest sense), meditation, auras, reiki, crystal healing and general crystal studies, and now just starting into numerology.

In all my studies, I align mainly with the Earth element and have a great affinity for anything green (esp Aventurine). I'm blessed to be guided by Mother Earth herself in the form of the Green Lady, along with a throng of other guides that make themselves known when needed, especially during circle when the room tend to feel like a shopping centre on christmas eve!

The authors that have encouraged me to think the most, and have a great respect for  - our very own R.B., DJ Conway, Dr. Doreen Virtue, Ted Andrews and Neal Donald Walsch (along with Judy Hall's and Melody's crystal guides, the Conversations with God books are my bibles).

This year I will be making the transition from a student of spiritual studies to full time teacher  - my true calling that I had been ignoring for a great many years, so I'm open to any sage advice you may have to offer here from your own experiences.

As for the reddish grey, take it from someone who started going grey at 16 - go on...cheat a little .

Wow, I feel like I'm writing my own intro here! Oh, well, I've been here a few years, I've learned and changed a great deal in that time, and it's probably good to acknowledge where my journey has taken me and where I am now.

That is so rare how lucky you are . I left my first lover of 7 years i big reason was he always made fun of my intuition, empathy and precognition and when his dad died he would not believe me that he was there in the yard trying to talk to him ... we need kindred souls ... did you see the movie living with the dead based on the life of James van Praagh I loved it but the sad bit was the divide caused between the father and the mother making her drug herself to avoid the "sight" and then the divide that eventuated between his dad and himself  which was hard to overcome . I was attracted to my husband because he did practice his sight he taught meditation and yoga and understood me . He had a mid life crisis and i married a mystic . Our love of the occult was not enough to make a relationship work between us .My first hubby came back and we went to circle together . I thought finally . But now he refuses again and calls this all bovine excrement . Go figure . How can one close the door or even want to close it ??

You are fortunate indeed and this does consume me I take solace in 3 of my 7 children walking the path with me but i still get grief at home ... why do you do that stuff ?... are you doing that meditation thingy again ??lol  

and so it goes ...  

The year 2004 was the best for me of my life I learned so much and I got my family to understand that times of the week are set aside for this study and it worked !!

The college is one not far from me in Melbourne - Visionary Tarot College.
It started out in the back room of a suburban house, and is now occupying a large house in a commercial area....and still growing.

Tarot was, as the name implies, the first thing taught at the college, but with the talents of people that have become a part of it - mediums, Reiki masters, numerology and astrology experts, the courses have grown to include things like meditation & psychic development, reiki, crystal healing, psychic art (learning to draw people's spirit guides), chinese astrology, numerology and of course tarot & advanced tarot.

As to teaching, I'll be starting off teaching meditation courses at both Visionary College, and a new college my close friend is starting up. My intent is to become a reiki master (only level 1 now, but I'll get there), develop some basic energy awareness courses that will be a blend of  different philosophies (to help people to find what works best for them), and I also wish to study crystals a lot more and start passing on that knowledge.

This year I'll be making the transition from working full time in the computer industry, to full time teaching, via whatever mix of the two lies in between.

I'm getting my mid-life crisis out of the way early.  

At the moment all sorts of things are being brought to me, the latest of which is blending all my skills and programming MS Excel to do a pretty detailed numerology calculation form, which is now getting me well entrenched in numerology studies.

Funny thing is, if you had asked me this time last year if I thought I would be studying & practicing healing, teaching meditation, and studying numerology, I'd've told you you were nuts!
I wasn't at all interested in reiki or healing, and thought numerology was a load of rubbish.
I've since learned that when my guides tell me I'm going to be doing something, there's no point arguing about it. They know what I want better than I do, and they've told me fairly clearly that I AM a teacher, so I guess I better start teaching.  

Thanks for letting me waffle Catherine. This is after all meant to be YOUR introduction.    I guess there's been so many big steps forward in my spiritual journey recently that when someone asks me about it, I'm having a real hard time trying to contain my enthusiasm!

I don't mean to hijack Catherines thread, but she'll understand    It's not like she's here by accident......

I posted on another forum about 'Coming out of your Metaphysical Closet'.  The majority of the responces were 'it's more comfortable to hide in the closet'.  Things didn't really start happening for me until I came all the way out, both with myself and my wife.

So, don't quench the enthusiasm, but instead embrace all that you are.  I mean only NOW can you be what you are, and not get burned at the stake!  As Tayesin said, it only hurts while your living    (I get a group chuckle on that, draw your own conclusions).

So the Endgame is here, let's make the most of the gametime we have left!!!

Excellent I am glad to see colleges begin created on earth for this.I have never heard of any such eclectic schools ....only meditation retreats and camps ....My group has been assigned to make a new room in Shamballah !!We know it is to be small at first and that as our students outgrow it we will make a larger one . We are all shifting goals and we are going to teach in a team . We have been asked to make up a syllabus and present it to be accepted . I do recall teaching in a crude way standing in front of desks where the students sit like in a high school and then  raise their hands . But this is a new teaching role for a new year .
The students will choose to come in or leave and they will sit in a circle and respond when it is appropriate like in a graduate school seminar instead of primary or elementary school . We will continue to take classes too to learn to share and to teach . All of us learn and teach as we are sleeping . Trying to bring this to conscious recall is so difficult .

To participate in a college here on earth is fantastic and I envy you . I think it would be good to make a forum or at least a thread on it so that we can all watch the progress .

As a school teacher it must be wonderful for you to be getting involved in such a different form of teaching. I've no doubt you wish the Dept of Ed would seriously consider more open forms of teaching!

Funny you should mention that.

I was given a reading a couple of months ago that told me I will make a great leap forward in my journey, and really open up the abilities residing within me when I am able to stand firmly in front of the world on the solid foundations of my belief in who and what I am.

This to me is exactly what you're talking about here. Since coming out of the closet, I've had so many workmates, friends and family members coming to me and either asking me for advice or just openly talking about ghosts, crystals, healing, mediumship. I've been blown away by it.

Hello Aunt Clair.  I was referred by someone in the forums to you.  I hope you've read the book by Robert Bruce "Practical Psychic Defense", and he talks about Negatives attaching to, or possessing a person.  I've had a negative or dark spirit attach to me about 3-4 years ago.  Every since then I haven't been able to get it off.   Ever since the attachment, one thing I notice is that I'm not grounded in the environment around me, like I'm being pushed more into a dreamy state where I'm not as aware of things around me as I use to be.  There's also a pressure in my head.  Especially when I try to think good things.   It's trying to keep my mind in a negative state, and I feel the effects by feeling depressed or hopeless much of the time now.  A monk, an intuitive, and a meditation practitioner all tried to cut the connection between me and the spirit, but no luck.  Right now, I'm really quite hopeless of getting this thing off me.  I think I need direct guidance and support on how to beat this thing.  The things in the book I read, I can't seem to stay displined.  The negative also attached to me, make me have cravings at certain times to make me avoid doing tasks that I know I should.  And it is successful many of the times, and my mind is so undisplined and everywhere.   Do you think you can help with this?   My email is: donnysnow@gmail.com
