Hello everyone!

My name is Nuno, and I'm the happy carrier of a 26 years old beautiful body. ahah

I study Information Systems, web and multimedia. It's my 1st year. I enjoy programming and all that is related to web development.

Anyway, I just answered a question about Astral Projection/OBE in yahoo answers, and I'm going to use it to introduce myself here. This was my first OBE.

So here it goes, my first OBE,

This was about 5 years ago... I learned that symbolism is important in order to "communicate with your subconscious". With this in mind, I developed a ritual. Before went to bed, I would put on white loose clothes. Light a few scented candles. Relax my muscles with my hands. Then I would lay down on my bed, started breathing deep, slowly, exhaling all that could be troubling my mind, and Inhaling a beautiful white light. I would start to imagine that same beautiful white light running trough my whole body.

I did this everyday, for about 3 months. Some days, more then once.

And then it happened.

One night, after the "ritual", relaxing and visualizing. I stopped. I turned over to go to sleep, and though to my self. Hey, if I'm going to sleep, why not while visualizing a beautiful white light?

So I did. And suddenly, I was seeing my room. I thought to myself, well, I'm not sleeping, I'm gonna get up. When I did, I was out of my body. The most amazing thing... I didn't even realized that it was actually seeing my room with etheric vision.

Anyway, I gave 3/4 steps, and then it hit me. I don't need to walk! And the illusion that I was walking vanished. I was now a conscious "sliding" to the room across the hall. And I felt the strangest thing. When you're out of you're body and see other people, you see them as they are. It's like going into a book store, and instead of just seeing covers, you can "feel" the book's essence. Same for a person. You know if he/she is well intended or not. And you can feel the presence of that person without even looking.

This experience did not last long. When I realized how amazing it was, I got so excited, that I found myself back into my body.

I would more easily forget the first time I had sexual intercourse, then I would forget my first OBE ahah

2 key factors that I find truly important in order for a successful OBE.

1st. Expectations

The minute I went to sleep, while visualizing the beautiful white light, all expectations were gone. See, I just wanted to sleep. At that time I was not worried, anxious, or excited about being able to do it. But did spend about half an hour trying to induce an OBE. My subconscious knew I wanted to do it.

2nd. Mind awake - Body Asleep

Let your body go to sleep, while your mind stays awake. I did not knew this at the time. And the only book I read was d.j Conway's "Flying without a Broom". And I don't remember it mentioning this.

But, it was a good coincidence.

Usually, when i started to feel my body heavy, and tingling. I just thought I was getting tense, and normally would end the session. I was wrong. When this happens, if we still feel like being able to focus without your mind wondering around, one should keep going.

The visualizing of the white light, or whatever you want to visualize, will help you keep our mind awake, while the body goes to sleep. This is key! If one manages to do this, and sees himself "seeing" with eyes closed. You just have to get out. Think where you want to be. You'll be there.
