Hi everyone,

I've enjoyed lurking here for a while, and reading through some terrific and informative posts. Astral projection has always been an interest of mine, and I've managed to collect a huge amount of books, tapes and internet bookmarks on the topic. I'm yet to have a conscious experience, and for all the information I've gathered, actually attempt to have a projection.

The closest I've come is having two separate encounters with intense vibrations, sleep paralysis and a piercing noise in my ears - both of which I didn't initiate (they just...happened). Who knows whether it was the beginning of something wonderful or not, but it certainly scared the pants off me! I think the biggest thing I need to overcome is fear, especially after having gone through the aforementioned paralysis & noise. I thought I was having a stroke (and I'm only 25!).

Anyway, it's nice meeting you all and I hope I can learn some great things from these forums and provide some information back once I gain some experience.

=)

Hello Shiralee, welcome to Astral Pulse. The vibration and noise are all normal when trying to project, and then lesser the more you become use to it. I can't project normally, so I have to do it early in the morning as I'm going back to sleep. I don't get vibrations, just a high pitched humming sound.
It seems you may have a good chance already if your getting the symptoms you've mentioned. Just keep at it and you'll be having the time of your "life".

Thanks for the welcome, and the reassurance =) Even after researching AP for years, I still wasn't prepared for it. The vibrations were intense, and felt as though they were coming from my forehead moving down my body. Add to that the sensation you get when you're on a rollercoaster and noise so loud I thought my head would explode, and you have a very scared me. Need to muster up the courage to try properly in my own conditions.

It certainly seems as though you've got your technique down pat & hopefully I can master it too.
