Hello!
Here's my intro post. I'm going to give some personality background so previous understanding of my character can help in the future.

What I hope to accomplish
I am a huge geek and since I first met them in The Next Generation, I have loved the Borg. I don't admit this to humans very often, thank you to the anonymity of the Internet lol, but I've always actually loved them and had tons of days dreams about them. I kinda always look at them as "not so bad", when truthfully I mean I would be tempted.
(As a side note, when reading about star children the closest fit was some kind of machine entity. :) I actually do have a very hard time identifying as human.)
Later on the in the Star Trek Franchise the Borg create this place for dreaming called Unimatrix Zero. Here they would meet, see each other as their original non machine selves, chat, socialize.
I'm hoping to be able to create my own personal unimatrix zero. I guess a safe place to visit when I want. I had a dream as a teenager that showed me this place. I used to dream about houses and home spaces a LOT when I was younger.

Where I am at mentally.
Not the best place. I stopped remembering any and all dreams years ago. Not sure why. At this point even remembering a dream would be an accomplishment, so I'm totally prepared for patient baby steps. This is an adventure, not a competition with...myself...lol
I used to remember dreams as a kid and teen, but I don't recall ever having any of those typical dreams. Never had a flying or falling dream. No,  "I'm naked in front of the class". My dreams were always complex like a complete movie to watch with incredible detail. Made up places, temples in the jungle, outer space, people generally everywhere. I also slept like a rock, if that's related at all. My dreams were never brightly colored, as far as I can remember. Hazy just like when I'm daydreaming. Like everything is in water colors and kinda washed out. Or like a thick mist hangs over all of it.

Also, I don't have the best mental or physical health. I've had Crohns since I was 11, almost 20 years, my entire colon removed (4 surgeries),  fibromyalgia, arthritis, hypoglycemia, and then poor mental health. I deal with borderline personality disorder, and all these factors are more motivations to get to be better connected to my mind and other possible realities.

Other than that, my favorite color is silver. I'm learning Japanese, German, and Russian. I can play the violin, learning the mandolin, and I have an accordion I need help with. I'm a sex positive aesexual pansexual. Lol
I have four rats, a cat, and a human companion. My music taste are all over the place. I like video games. I do enjoy violent ones, but I tend to naturally gravitate towards Harvest Moon, Rune Factory, and Animal Xing. Love the new Animal Xing. Lol
I'm an atheist as I do not believe in an all supreme create being. Definitely not the Abrahamic God/tradition. I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness, and I'm done with that. I leave room for other entities to exist (Deep Space 9, anyone?), but I would view any entities as simply another species. I'm a future biologist and tend to view the world around me in science terms.
I'm also very creative and day dream all the time. Doesn't seem like would go with my analytical nature, but I make it work. ( INTP, yeah! Lol)

Thanks for sticking it out through all that!  I actually have two topics to post about, and am eager to get to them when I get the energy to.

Good intro. Hi and welcome to the Pulse.
Baby steps, the first thing to do is see if any meds are affecting dream recall. If they are that is a shut door. If not then list the times of sleep and form a pattern. This can be adjusted to hopefully effect some awareness.
It's a long road. If you're dedicated to this then failiure is not an option.

The only medicine I'm using is cannabis. My other options is about 16-20 pills a day, so I'll just have to work around or with the properties of cannabis. One probably being the sedative properties.

Ah sleep patterns. What sleep patterns? I kid... :)
I've always had issues with sleep. The issue seems to be that my body thoroughly dislikes the transformation from one reality to the other. It's very difficult for me to get to sleep. I can be so sleep deprived I'm physically ill and I'll still be wide awake lying in bed cold sweating and nauseated.  Then often times, mostly when younger though, it was extremely difficult to wake me up.
My sleep does tend to shift around a lot. And then often times I'm randomly woken up in the night if my stomach's being nervous. This actually sounds like an opportunity though. Quite often when woken up around 4:00 am I'll take 15 minutes to sit quietly or eat a light snack.
Brilliant! Next time that randomly happens I'll use it to my advantage.

If your stomach can be problematic then look at the amount of time between eating and attempting sleep. The size of the meal too.
Can you see any patterns here?
