hey, new to this whole astral projection thing...got into it so i can talk to my friend who passed away from a heart attack...hear it works that way, so i figured what the hell. i kinda tried the first night, couldn't really concentrate i guess. tried again last night and got to the vibes, got freaked out cause my heart started racing and my eyes darted back and forth like i was in REM or something so i stopped. then i read that i could take a year or so to actually project, have to admit im a bit discouraged. but he died so suddenly and i had so much to tell him, so thats going to be my motivation.

any personal advice that i can't find on here would be great! thanks...see yall around.

it tottaly depends on the person as to how long it takes but you're showing good signs of progress! took me a couple of months but i was only passively trying.

i couldn't really get any where last night, except a lucid dream...i guess you could call it that.

lucid dreams are a good start though. I had 2 lucid dreams before I had my first projection...

You can go anywhere you want from a lucid dream.
To me LD's and projections are pretty much the same.
Good to have a strong motivation, that keeps you going,
